It's semi out. Hot Toys shipped some orders to their HK dealers, but very quickly found out the paint job came out below their standards on the portrait, so they halted other shipments to make news heads and swap them out and will be having a program in place to arrange for people who received from the original shipments to get the new head.

So a small number got out, but pretty sure the mass ammounts have been held off for the new head, so in essence, it's not out, you'd probably have a hard time finding anyone selling it in stock right now, and because there's the delay, those guys might try to up the price to see if some people are so impatient they'll pay higher rather than wait and get the better product.

I have John Connor first wave, and the paint aps looks pretty fine for me but the head sculp seems to be diferent than the promo pics...Anyway, I talked with my Hong Kong seller and as soon as the "new" head will be released he send it to me for free (He told me August)

wait i have a question whats with the new face sculpt scenario, was thier some sort of a flaw in the sculpt because imo the sculpt is perfect.

It's the paint job. While it's not terrible, it's also not up to the Hot Toys standard, Hot Toys was unhappy with how it turned out and are correcting it. They're usually very hands on with this sort of thing, so I'm puzzled how such an error slipped by them, but I commend them for taking action to make it right with collectors, just sucks because it could have shipped weeks ago were it not for this error.

THANKS! Awesome. The paint looks great but the sculpt...meh...I dunno something about it kinda bugs me to be honest. It's probably the angles but still if its just the old sculpt with better paint I'm throwing down. Thanks for the update.

I think the likeness is still kinda off.

There's something about the nose, moustache and beard. The nose is too big as for the moustache and beard it's not consistent and too dark.

It just doesn't look like bale to me. Sorry.

The facial hair DOES look way too dark - but overall, it doesn't look as though they've changed the sculpt.......I guess the people who bought it when it came out have got the upper hand; they can decide out of 2 heads, which looks better.

His original head did, but the one above looks different from that one. It may just be the eyeliner and dark paint, but something looks different. The nose especially.

I think the only one that looks really off is the one on the far left (our left). The one next to it looks pretty good actually. I'll wait for some in-hand pics though before I plunk down.
