As for fabric I think one needs to be realistic that the original fabric of the shirt and tie were too complex to scale down accurately

I don't have a problem with the print/design of the shirt. That part looks fine (at least to me). I'm talking about color. And that has nothing to do with being too complex to scale down. It simply has to do with choosing a better base color of fabric.

I think I may be hitting up billb for another shirt and tie if he'll do another run.

and the V1 blazer looks more greyish to me, so I may see how that looks underneath - or have a go at dying it to the right colour

I'm glad they didn't and I hope PERS is used thoughtfully. It was going to be used on Tony Stark when the BD Iron Man was to be a DX, but to me, Tony Stark isn't a character where posing the eyes really adds anything to it, especially just a head on Iron Man where most folks would get the most use out of the Iron Man helmet.

Clown Joker is a great use of, Batman's pretty good with some of the action poses you could come up with, but something like say Dutch from Predator, to me just seems like extra cost and feature for not the best gain. Dutch's eyes are permanently posed and for any photo or pose I've done, I've never found myself wishing he had PERS, same with John Connor. Certain characters can benefit very much from it, but ones where it's really just kind of a neat addition, I'd rather save the money and also probably get a better sculpt because measured aren't taken to allow the seam for the PERS access.

Everything to me looks great no complaints, only thing I'm worried about is the hat size. That's about it..........

Does the coat have "4" coat tails?

That is something to experiment with, but part of the problem is the pattern size.

I have a Billy B shirt and on his, the shapes came out half the size of the HT shirt. If HT's pattern were smaller and tighter, the blue lines would help make the overall shirt look darker and more correct.

They could also use a darker base color than white if they couldn't shrink the pattern, there's 2 ways to achieve it and they did neither.

I'm not as impressed by the outfit, but the heads are just phenomenal. I'm especially surprised how well the Cop Joker head turned out:

Looks very much like Heath! There's so much life in it. I wonder How long will it be until someone repaints it?

May be old news but it's new to me, buddy. I just always assumed that a DX would have all the bells and whistles, and that would have included a second PERS head. I wish they'd have just charged more and be done with it.

Look at it like this: When the Cop Joker was first announced it was 1 head, 1 body, 1 outfit, 1 set of hands and 1 accesory (Rifle). And it was listed at $149.99 (DCD). And a lot of people were willing to buy it. Then it was changed to the first of the new DX series from HT and it got an extra, updated v1 Joker. Full outfit + upgrades (suspenders, better vest, better coat, better shoes, better tie, better overall design) brand new clown head with PERS, and all the original accessories + more (knife, cards, gun with extended clip, grenade rig) and the price only increased $30 (DCD) from $149.99 to $179.99.

No doubt A LOT of people (myself included) would've gladly paid $149.99 for just the Clown Joker stuff. So if you wanna flip that let's say all the Cop Joker stuff is the bonus. Yes the head has no PERS. Yes it's light overall on accessories (only 1 set of hands and only the rifle) but as a bonus that HT didn't have to include in order to sell these it's pretty damn sweet. Show me another figure on par with the Cop Joker that only costs $30.

If anyone is looking to sell their overcoat when their Joker arrives, I'd be willing to buy it for a reasonable price ^_^ Odds are against me anyone will though.. :(

That sums me, the core of this set is really the Cop figure as the new piece, yet I feel like it's a bonus add in with an updated Clown version, I don't see the clown stuff as bonus stuff oddly enough.

And how it's packaged kinda confirms that in a way. Remember we all thought it would come with the Cop Joker made up and all the Clown Joker stuff packed up like an accessory? Well it's the opposite. The Clown Joker is made up (body, hands, feet) and the Cop Joker is packed up like the accessory. :lol

I had suspicions it might end up like this just because clown is the PERS head. As far as marketing goes, Cop Joker's just another HT figure, nothing ground breaking Clown's got the new PERS system as well as the flash of updated clothing.

@Maulfan

I agree how some characters work better than others. In my opinion,I think HT should've just waited for DX to do Harvey. The two-face head could've been phenomenal if it utilized PERS tech, and in turn led to more posing options, they could've just gave him 2 suits, rather than a burnt jacket and "not-burnt" shirt. Also, the way Two-face was portrayed in the film, they could've given his good side some sort of way to make his mouth move,in fact, some sort of enterbay type skin would've blended nicely with the burnt side.I myself don't own two-face,so I would like it if a DX came out,but it seems that this line has run it's course as wookster stated DX Bats'd be the last.

I think the eyes on the cop joker look more lifelike thanks to the paint app though.. although that must be the pictures playing tricks on me! Wonder how the eyes on the pers look in the flesh.. oh well, soon to find out with DX batman :)

Well, as far as TF, it raises the question, when did the PERS lightbulb go off with Hot Toys. Has it been in development for years, was it a pretty sudden idea prompted by trying to boost things with another Joker release. If they were working on PERS for a long time, then yeah, Two-Face, like many figures, was rushed to have out close to theatrical and DVD released of the movie rather than when they could do the best job with the figure, but if the PERS system was started after his development, then can't blame them for what they didn't know was coming down the road for them.

I find the PERS eyes looked more life-like in one of the photos of the head right near the BR head, thought everything looked better on the DX head, which seems amazing because of how good the BR head is, really has me excited to see the DX head in person.

It's so close, like 95% similar, that for me the only thing that sets the DX head above the BR head are the eyes. one could say the eyes are maybe asmidge too big, but i dont think so. I'm talking solely about sculpt, NOT paint. When it comes to paint, I prefer the DX head. The makeup is even more realistic this time.

bumping this photo again, good shot:
