I don't think so. I think he gave those two a run for their money. The Dark Knight Joker has a wide range of emotions. He's sinister, charming, funny, psychotic, goofy, and menacing. One minute he scares you, the next you laugh at his personality.

I hate when people compare him to Alex from a Clockwork Orange. The Joker would tie Alex up, tell him how wrong his philosophies towards life are, carve him up and let him live. Sure his costume design has punk written all over it but I think the personality of the Joker in The Dark Knight is just as similar as the comic interpretation. Ledger fit in most of the styles from the comics ranging from the first appearance to the killing joke in that 2 and a half hour time frame.

considering Heath directly said he pulled inspiration from Alex I don't agree.

Well it's all based on interpretation any way. Your unique point of view of the character is no more "correct" than my own and vice versa.

As soon as we saw the film we knew how each character and the movie itself made us feel. No one here can tell anyone else other wise. There's no right or wrong answer. Personally, I could never see this Joker chasing a woman with a giant dildo and then raping them. I could see him humilate others and control them with his words though. Maybe you feel the exact opposite and that's fine.

I know what the character represents and stands for (or doesn't stand for) in my mind just as you do in yours.

Enough talk, where are all the new pics!? I thought Toysdaily and ToyWorld would be littered with DX Joker photo threads, but no new one since I last checked around noon.

Never said you could trace Heath to Romero. That would be moronic. Heath never even drew any inspiration from Romero's Joker. Heath's first firsthand resource of the joker was "The Killing Joke"

I am saying that you can't hate Romero. To say he is "ashamed" of having the same last name is blasphemy. Look at "Batman #1" which came out in 1940. The Joker is exactly the same as Romero portrayed him. Silly, over the top, and criminally insane. Anyone who is a fan of the Joker is a fan of Romero.

That would depend on what version of the Joker one is claiming to be a fan of. It is plausible that a fan of the harsher, creepier versions of the Joker might think that Romero's interpretation was retarded. All Jokers are not necessarily created equal. Personally, I think more recent interpretations (in comics and movies) are FAR superior to the earlier interpretations (even those from the 40's).

FOR ^^^^ SAKE HT, YOU RIP US OFF ONCE AGAIN!!!!
to search for previous error is a piece of cake job that even a single man can do that, you have plenty of pictures from the net.
now you claimed to have your own R&D team??
what the ^^^^ they're doing all this time???

Word on the street is that HT is not forcing anyone to buy the figure. Unlike death and taxes, this figure is avoidable.

aye, I agree with ya mate.

haha but maybe we should start talking about the figure now :p

I'm really liking the look of the material on the coat of the DX, and the snaps instead of velcro are going to be awesome :D

Would you also sell the police head?

yeah i'd be including everything the pertains to the police joker figure. head, clothes, accessories, the thing is i'd rather trade it for a bank robber version instead of selling it.
