well there are some imperfections on this but as someone has already pointed out this is going to be the most accurate Heath Ledger Joker in 1/6 scale ever mass produced. Now I am not a fan of PERS or the headsculpt and I am a much bigger fan of Imaresqd1 Jokers. But in terms of outfit it is pretty good. The vest could be glued shut and billyB's shirt and tie could be used as well. Also I feel that even though the blazer is much better fitting that the V1 I feel as though the DX would benefit from Snake Eater's mod which would make the upper body look thinner and not so bulky. I am not planning on purchasing this, but I am quite excited to see some better quality pics.

This is a discussion forum. We cannot discuss if everyone has the same view.

I still love this thing though...

So far I have been less then impressed with the DX lines. True they have cool features but it all seems to be gimic stuff. The moving eyes and light up sonar are cool but not enough to warrant buying a whole new figure.
With this new joker the face doesn't look as good as the original BR joker. It looks more like their bust that they put out in the begining. The jaw is rounded and kind of fat looking. In a side by side shot with the BR, it loses. Even the paint job isn't as good.
Not meaning to bash it or anything but just giving one person's opinion.

Word bud.

I will certainly be changing out the shirt and tie, cutting up the blazer and glueing the vest. I may also swap the head over for something 'different'. :D

Paint looks fine to me. Worlds better than what we got out of the box with the BR Joker. Sure, there are a few spots, the "tears" under the right eye, specifically, that could use a touch-up, but for a factory paint job it's pretty incredible.

Only the runny black looks bad. Why does Hot Toys think it was so runny? The Mob boss scene's make-up didn't look like that.

It was a little bit.

Don't forget the actual scale of the figure though - those pictures of the head are about 20X bigger than the real life object

Once you get in that close to something the quality will diminish - like getting closer to your tv

true, maybe it's the camera too. I know when I get mine though I'm going to pay someone to fix the drips

You can see the face paint isn't entirely white or full in the above screenshot. The DX face paint is fairly accurate, but not 100%. It's difficult to actually distinguish which scene from the movie HT based the DX appearance from. One would think "Well, the mob scene, obviously", but I don't think it's that simple. It's probably an amalgamation of multiple Joker appearances in order to allow for the broadest display options.

But of course, this is all impressions I'm gleaning from photos, as are you.

I'd say mob because the black around the eyes is larger in that scene than any other and the figure's black make-up seems pretty big to me. Plus the coat is obviously from this scene. But like you said, it doesn't have to be solely based on this scene. The BR Joker is a great example since he never had that V2 head look in that scene.

i cant wait to get mine through i was holding back till i saw in hand pics the cop hat does look big in some pics but you can always display it without it so all good.

I think they probably took influence from the mob scene for the paint but probably just made it a hybrid of his clean look, an idealized mix of mob scene, Dent's party, the burning money scene, the hospital and the Prewitt siege.
