The slim version is too small but more importantly too short.

You can't have that opinion. It is not too short ... its legs reach the floor. Get off of my forum. You shouldn't ever be able to buy any figure for the rest of your life.

I miss the arguing. Who's more complainey ... the complainers, or the complainers about the complainers?

Correct, DX Joker is actually the first figure to debut with the Narrow Shoulder True Type.

Erm... wait, what has everyone been getting off Joe, etc

I thought the new truetype was for the DX Joker... gah, bloody names man and variants. I think I may have the wrong orders now.

I thought the slim was the correct version. God sake!

Yes, one of the new 2 TT is the Narrow Shoulder which is for the New Joker, but the new Joker is the first figure packaged with the new TT.

It is, DX Joker is the first figure HT designed for the Narrow Shoulder True Type and shortly after it went up for sale, Hot Toys made Narrow Shoulder True Type bodies for sale, partly as a general release but also to cash in on folks wanting a spare for the DX Joker set.

This is the body DX Joker includes and it's the one people are buying loose to have both costumes from the DX set in use.

It's slim and standard TT, but it helps give you a sense of the differences in body mass, Narrow shoulders just basically angle the top of the shoulders more and bring the arms closer to the body, but the chest and legs are the same thickness as the normal in this photo.

Yeah but if I'm correct there's a slim version thats a midget which I seem to have that on order that I thought was for the DX Joker and then there is the slim shoulder but same height as all the other bodies.

I never knew there were two variants. I was lead to believe it was one new body, for the DX. Not two variant bodies up for order.

There are 3 bodies.

Standard
Narrow Shoulder
Slim

Unfortunately, people keep calling the Narrow Shoulder version slim shoulders and all and it's confusing a lot of people, because there is a slim body which is like the equivalent of a 30lb lighter body in overall mass.

This is the one that comes with Joker, if you have this on order you're set.

You can probably use this one too, but it may not work out as well.

I think the wider shouldered standard one wouldn't work though, I believe the cut and sew is pretty form fitting for the Narrow and no room for the broader body.

Reading the past few pages has caused me to chime in with my own two cents......you're all wrong, everyone's wrong...myself included, which also means that actually you're all right? And so am i....which also means you're all again....wrong! Glad we cleared that mess up. Anyway, dx joker, having brought both the two jokers before v1 and bank robber, i was a little reticent to part with more of my hard earned cash for this guy, which is essentially a figure i've already kinda got, i think i'd left off pre-ordering till i saw him for a couple of reasons... First being how good the cop joker came out, and it would appear that i'm one of the only ones who thinks he looks fine as is, hat and all (let flaming commence) also to see how the p.e.r.s turned out (fantastic it would seem) also i'm a glutton for cool packaging, and i'd have brought this purely based on the box, dunno if anyone can tell me if the box is purple felt? Whatever it is the whole package looks amazing. So onto studiosunny on ebay and now he's shipping his way over to the uk into my greedy hands. Now i have to say in closing, if you don't like something, or there's something niggling you about a figure, it's simple....don't buy it, then you won't have wasted your money, and the company will realise (if it's a major problem) that maybe they were wrong and sort the problem out for next time. Anyway i love him, and look forward to getting him in the mail.

I think this is the one I have on order, I just called it slim because thats what everyone else was calling it two months ago or so when everyone was ordering. I just assumed slim meant the new body for the DX Joker. I'll need to double check with Joe then on that.

True types become smaller when you have to connect shoes to them that don't require feet
Eg. Tony Stark shoes that came with the Hot Toys suit.
That could account for the differing heights
