There's only 2 things I'm really not keen on with this Joker. This was one thing I really loved with the Bank Robber head. Was how much red was on the lips. They looked really full even off the lips. The DX looks too thin lady like.

The 2nd is the shoes. The prototype had the worn scuffed shoes. They looked so nice! As said before it's came with the v1 shoes. I'll have to fix that myself.

Another thing. Hot Toys isn't learning from their own packaging. When it comes to scuffs. The best packaging they ever done that was fully protected for a figure was the Michael Jackson Billie Jean. Not only was it foam all around the figure like the Joker currently is but there was also a full foam flap covering everything then the plastic/card lid on top. No way at all could any scuffing have happened to the Billie Jean figure. Open the main flap, then open the full foam flap to reveal the figure and items. Why must they cheap out on nearly everything...

Can't really argue with most of that, but I'm willing to accept those faults when weighed against the overall whole.

As for the packaging and possibility of paint scuffs, that is why I asked cerealkeller to explain in better detail how the rub mark on his DX Joker head happened, because looking at how the DX Joker box works, there's actually a foam layer separating the figure from the top cardboard lid.

I can only judge by pics for now, and I'll use a couple of Hydeous' awesome pics to illustrate:

On the underside of the layer housing the Joker cards there is a layer of foam:

You're right, there is foam separating the figures from the slip with the cards. I can't see any way scuffing could occur. I'm guessing it happened pre-boxing; a worker might have knocked it or something.

Btw, are those actually Hydeous' pics? I thought those were the first in-hand pics from Toy-World?

I dreamt last night that mine finally arrived, but the head was cast in a light blue resin and the face had not been completely painted.

Woke up this morning and he still hasn't arrived. :(

Well, we know that the heads are painted, while not on the figures correct? Could it be that the paint rub on the nose, on ALOT of figures, is from the assembly worker pushing the head down onto the body? One finger on the back, and a thumb or such on the nose? Or a machine doing it? I really find it hard to believe it can happen to the figure during shipping in the box. Just doesnt seem like it could move that much

Woah deep man have you thought of going to a psychiatrist. Maybe it means something about your sub-concious. :lol

Can you explain what caused the paint rub mark on the DX head? Does it come in contact with the lid of the box or something? It looks like it is secured pretty well inside the foam cut-out.

I wish I knew exactly, but like you said the figures were pretty secure in the box. There was no white paint on the panel with the cards, so I'm guessing it was put in the box like that. I'm just glad it was just the white because it was very easy to fix.

Just won the overcoat for about 34$ shipped on ebay. Not the cheapest I know, but since this is pretty much all I want from the DX I think it's alright, and with my birthday coming up in 2 weeks I thought what the hell, probably won't get it cheaper than this anyway other than buying the whole thing and parting him out.

I bought it from Goodshipped yesterday, now the hardest: the waiting!

Did he put a lower amount on the package in order to avoid customs?

Dude, you really need to comment on this thread, because there seems to be quite a backlash against Goodshipped

That's weird.
I've bought 3 items over £100 of that seller and every one was delivered faster than I or parcel force expected.

I also have my truetype on the way from him and it seems like it's fine from the tracking number I was given.

The boxes where in pefect condition (even the standard box underneath my Joker DX box was not the leat bit scuffed or bashed). The only time i've had problems is when ordering my T 700 from America. The seller packaged it really well. Outer box paper and bubble wrap but it still got a little damaged so I blamed parcelforce not the seller.
