So what's the deal with goodshipped? People on here are reporting recieving it from them already, yet all his ebay auctions say preorder. Anyone have the scoop on them?

I believe they may sell a couple of in hands with a slight increase in price at the same time as having several pre-order buys listed too.

My DX came in today, and man. I got to say, no picture can really emulate having this thing in your hands. The quality of the paint job to everything included. It left me speechless for a couple minutes and left my wife giving me the strangest look. I hope I can take some pictures later.

Could somebody please tell me the size of the DX base?

I think Hydeous replied to my question on this some time ago with 16x16cm. Time is near... another two weeks (again:monkey2) so I am just gonna wait until I have it in my hand before I make a case for it, might as well

I'm gonna have to or I'll have nothing to eat. :lol:lol

dude who needs food when you've got the joker? ramen is super cheap, learn to love it. those carbs and sodium are totally worth it.

speaking of which, I have a crap camera so I can't take any good photos (unless someone wants to give me some tips!!) but I've modded my cop joker head to appear more like the film version.

After watching TDK again and paying a lot of attention to the cop scene, I find that the cop Joker head is a bit off. The sculpt itself and likeness is DEAD on, insanely so actually, but the paint job is what makes him a bit lackluster and not reaching his full demented potential as he had in the film appearance.

Three main things contribute to it: paleness, eyes and lips.

-The Joker's skin was very pale and powdery because of his greasepaint. stuff probably seeped into his pores at this point, but either way there's a big difference in tone between his neck and face. The white even covers some of the scars if you look closely in the film.

I fixed this by giving the face a white wash of sorts, just applying and removing, smudging, etc. for a while to work that pale tone into the skin without it being too overt. Now I've got some nice white textures to give the subtle impression of leftover paint. Once again its very very subtle but you can tell that there's a paleness to the figure that wasn't there before and it helps out the demented look ledger had.

-Joker's eyes were a bit darker and baggier. They looked like junkie eyes almost. I haven't done anything to fix this as it's pretty close to the real deal and i don't wanna screw up the look of the eyes which could be thrown by the wrong hue or amount of paint to give the bags.

-Okay the most glaring difference by far is the color of the lips. Joker's lips were suffering from the same effect that his skin did. His lips had a subtle but noticeable red hue. You could tell there was either a bit of red paint still left or that he had worn so much that it left a strong discoloration. Either way, this is what really contributed to his weird albeit brief appearance.

The red really offsets the paleness of the rest of his face and combined with the yellow ruined teeth, it really gave him some menace. I gave his lips a hint of red with some water color. It's such a small area that what I really wanted to do was apply and remove enough to actually dye the lips. Turned out really great and along with the paleness, that fearsome, junked out countenance of cop Joker is more approximated.

I think the things I mention above are very noticeable here, lips with red hue, pale skin, creepy eyes and yellow teeth.

I highly recommend doing the same if you're good with the brush. I wish I could convince you with some shots.

Yeah, Jeff Parker (Wookster) went over those shortcomings in the "paint" section of his review on MWCtoy. I agree with both of you in that regard. However, the only thing that was noticeably off for me is the skin tone.

I really want pics of that face touch up man, c'mon try! lol.
It's basically ALL his makeup that's still in remnants on his face. Black around the eyes, pale white on the skin, and red on the lips

Writing on his badges: yes (so tiny that it's almost illegible, but it's there).
Unique pin designs on his shoulders: no.

"Rachel Dawes" name tag: BIG NO NO

Fixed for ya.

Seriously, I was really looking forward to what HT would put on the name tag. For a while I was speculating that they'd put "Heath Ledger", until a member here who was acting as the back up cops in TDK confirm to us that Heath and his henchmen all had "Rachel Dawes" name tags on their uniform.

Shipped!! Hurrah!! And now we wait...

Anyone in U.K or Ireland here that could give me an approximate shipping time?

Anyone still just interested in the cop stuff only? Send me a pm and we can work something out. Already have one coming, complete. But another, all i want is the clown figure and clothes. EVERYTHING else you can have

What's the expected retail on this figure? I notice they go for $200+ on Ebay right now, but I suspect that's because of the limited early supply. In a few months (or when DC Direct releases), what should I expect the standard to be?

Also, should I expect standard retail to differ between HK and US releases (since they have to ship it to US stores), or do the US stores just eat the extra shipping price?

I ask because I may have found a guy to sell them for $160-170 locally (so no shipping), and I want to make sure that it's not "too good to be true."
