I had some paint issue with my John Connor and took it back to Toys2 and they replaced it on the spot. I also had issues with my Tumbler and T-600 and Eric took care of me in both cases on the spot as well so I do not fear any issues as much. OH yeah broken peg on my TDK and got replacement.
As for replacement from HT I do understand why HT would require the faulty head to be send back. If they did just replace it I am sure some will simply create or photoshop some flaw into the part, request replacements and then just sell the new part and fix the original to keep. None of us freak of cause :p

I don't mind fixing things in some cases. I got a T700 the other day that had one of the hamstring shocks unattached at one end. I took the leg apart to fix it but the hole it was supposed to be screwed in was stripped out. A little super glue to the opposite side of the hole while working the piece to avoid it sticking and it was fixed.... But that's still different then a big ass scratch to the nose... I'm praying mine arrives in good condition :monkey3

oh boy! the price hiking has already begun. Toy Wiz just upped their price by about $10 to make theirs an even $200.00 they were already over pricing the Joker to start with. Grab'em fast boys.....I got a feeling this is gonna be as rare as the original suit BB Batman.

I think that is doubtful. It will be a prized collectible, no doubt, but the Original Suit Batman is rare because it was never distributed through DCD, and since we will most likely never see that suit again, there is no need to make another version. So production on it has stopped. The Hot Toys DX Joker is being distributed by DCD and also there have already been two other Jokers released. I think everyone who wants one of these will be able to get them at a reasonable price.

:lecture Some web stores are just trying to make an extra buck due to the hype and anticipation... sad really.

Pjam got a crazy cheap deal online at some retailer a little while ago.

I think the price will fluctuate some with the holidays, and shortly after the price should go down for a little while as retailers unload (from Feb to June is my guess)... then of course the price will go up once the supply dwindles (say in a year).

RedfordFilms probably. They were selling for like $127 with an online CyberMonday coupon + free shipping. Now I think they're like $152 or so still with the free shipping.

Yep, $128 Shipped Black Friday Special. They are now like 180 shipped at Redford. I agree with W-G, some fluctuation over the short term then it will become a Expensive Collector's Item. HT won't be revisiting this Character so this is it.

apparently not. $200.00 is not reasonable, so like i said......its already begun. also, just because something is or is not being distributed through DCD does not mean it will or wont become super rare. example: The SDCC Green Lanterns full set sell for well over $450.00 and yet they are distributed through DCD.

So being distributed via DCD did not prevent them from becoming super rare.........there production run vs their exclusive nature is what made them rare. Also they DID do a different version of the BB suit......its call the Dark Knight suit.....(well you did say different).

Lastly HT could pull the plug on production at any moment......or maybr they never will. my point was simply to point out price hikes that have started and to help any one who's on the fence about the fig to make up their mind before it cost them a bigger arm and leg.

When he said distributed by DCD he didn't mean as a short run con exclusive like the Green Lanterns he meant you can order as many as you like through DC Direct via Diamond. All you had to do was place the order through you local comics retailer or an online etailer, not show up in CA and hope you got a set.

Secondly the Batman Begins suit from TDK or the Original Costume as it's called was NEVER distributed by DCD. Therefore a lot of folks who'd never heard of Hot Toys before they saw them in their comic shop or on the net missed out on the Begins/Orignal version which was discontinued last September leading to it being sought after.

Places are going to stock up on this figure and while the demand is hot right around especially with it being Christmas season places are going to try and gouge people for evey penny they can get. But these figures are not going to sell out all over at $200 a pop.

3 things to say about this:

1) regardless of whether you can get a replacement, it sucks to have waited this long and now have to wait longer for a perfect figure...

2) HT might even just send you a new head, without you having to send anything to them... ?

3) pretty easily fixed yourself, if you decided to go that route.

BUT THAT SUCKS. SORRY MAN. :(

All this waiting for a giant nose rub takes the wind out of my sails. I'm not sure what to do. Part of me says I should get a replacement on principle, the other says why bother - I'm probably going to get it repainted.

Horrible paint rub aside, this figure is such a master piece. PERS is great, and the tailoring is phenomenal.

I'd get a new head man. Contact HT. You paid good money for your collectible. I only repaint stuff when it's optional, or is long past the time to recieve a replacement.

It would be very easy to fix it up with some Tamiya weathering kit. https://tinyurl.com/y9kq3ta

A smidge of water on a fine brush, damp will do... dab it on till you're happy.

Just the thought of postage sending stuff back and forth etc that all mounts up.

I'm not saying go this route but all is not lost. It should be perfect out of the box as you know.

Yeah, I contacted the seller. All I need to do is ship back the head, and I'll get a new one. Works for me.

I think this is what we won!!!
