Beautiful set-up! Really nice! :clap You should start a "Show Your Shelves" thread as I would like to see more of these framed boxes.

Maybe I'll start a "Drizzle's stuff" thread in general in the next few days, but I'll have to pull stuff out to make pictures. It will have to be separate pictures for now and not "my shelves" exactly, because my shelves are a mess. I have them covered with cardboard panels for now because we have 2 kittens, and they're not past that "I wanna break ____" phase...

Don't mind Devil. Just be glad he (kind-of) acknowledged his error.

Remember, we are in the center of nerd town here, so debates over semantics becomes the new pissing match! ;)

I was probably just kind of sensitive about stuff because I had worked hard all week to get new stuff on my site, and I still have some more projects I'm working on now to show soon that I have been devoting all my time to, and I didn't expect something as innocuous as a bank bag to be questioned.

Ok.. and I wasn't going for your jugular, just posting a comment. :duh

Sounds reasonable.. and yet NO ONE has ever stolen change from a bank during a robbery.

No, probably not, but it adds to the "lots of money" look. There is probably a pretty big "no one has actually done that" list concerning the Joker. :lol

That's a really nice setup for your BR Drizzle!

Thanks! I appreciate it!

I bought a few of these on sale for babystuff but now maybe more for my stuff ;)

The ones I'm using are from Michael's- they are 10x13, I believe. What you do is watch their prices, they put all of their shadowboxes on sale 40% off every few weeks, when they do, swoop in and buy 'em, up! they actually hold 2 figures in each one pretty well, but some figures have too much accessory stuff on them, and end up being too fat to put in one.
To bring this thread back around to the Joker in the subject line, I fit the Joker and his police uniform counterpart in one box together, and they look great!

yeah that's where I grabbed mine when it was on sale. Except I through on top the 25% off all coupon bringing the price down even further :D I never buy stuff at Micheals at regular price anymore, not even on just on regular sale because of that :D

Who was talking about The Joker!?

Oh, and last I checked, coins are money. Hell, rolls of quarters can add up pretty fast.

Plus, they have the added bonus of not having serial numbers, so they're much harder to track once you've stolen them.

Sounds reasonable.. and yet NO ONE has ever stolen change from a bank during a robbery.

We were ALL talking about real life right there bro, not TDK or The Joker.

I was probably just kind of sensitive about stuff

You think?

These bags totally succeed here! And frankly nobody that comes to you house is gonna say, "hey that's a cool Joker figure but the money bags are all wrong." They will just be impressed with the overall look. Nicely done.

(Looking at Devils last post above, can you see what I was talking about with the 'nerd style pissing match about semantics?'

...I wuv you devil...:monkey3)

The Joker is who I made the bags for. I'm posting this in a Joker thread. You're in a Joker thread. Hence, we are all talking about the Joker! :duh

Um.. yeah. Try reading that string of posts I quoted. No one was talking about The Joker. :duh

Second time you've posted something like that. No offense.. but if you're a nerd that's cool bro. But don't try to group me in with that like "we're all the same". Seriously.. no. That ain't me. :lol

:lol Okay, I think we should get into a semantics debate over "nerd." :lecture

Would "geek" please you?

Point is, a lot of us get into pointless debated about word choice, and minutia. Your post with the "string of posts" is a case in point (and the reason I restated my nerd comment). Not saying I don't do that kind of stuff too, as it can be part of the fun, just trying to give The Drizzle a little moral support. I think he made a really cool accessory and should be praised for such.

Let's not get bogged down in this. :peace

This was always about the Joker, and my bags' relevance as a 1:6 accessory to him. You challenged that relevance, I refuted you, you tried to muddy the issue and head off into pedantry concerning real world use of coin bags. If you want to talk totally real world things, feel free to find a forum for reality, or at the very least, try this one:

aka Sideshow Freaks > Non-Collectible discussion > Other Topics

This one is about collectibles & toys, and this thread specifically about the Joker.
Dismissed. :lecture

Alright, I'll play ref...

Nolan's universe is meant to have a "real world" feel, so I can see why one wouldn't want to do something too unrealistic in terms of display, as that would be distracting. You wouldn't be able to play with reality in this case as much as you could say with the '89 Batman. But, as I've said, I don't think that's a problem here. The bags just add to the "lots of money" feel imo.

Agreed, and the whole reason I made them was because I saw them in the movie. I think things went off the rails when D666 Said "I'm not sure what purpose they would serve!?" So I told him, and he still didn't want to believe I was using them in a way I intended. That's what happens when people assume things.

Actually.. things went sour when you started crying like a little girl because TBH, you got pissy since you're trying to SELL these on here. So you immediately panicked when you felt someone was saying something that could hurt your potential sales. And the funny part is, if you would've stopped your little crybaby temper tantrum and actually read my post you would've seen:

1) I said they looked cool.

2) I never once said anything negative about your work or the end result.

3) I never said anything negative period. I simply stated my opinion. And I stand by it. Boo-Hoo if you can't take it.

And as far as Maglor.. now I'm being serious: STFU. This doesn't involve you. Me and Drizzle are adults. We don't need any ref, mediator or anything else. Stop trying to get into a discussion that doesn't involve you.

Wow, thought this was a discussion forum.

I don't get when people talk like they are making a new enemy just because they present an opposing view. I'm genuinely mystified by all the "I'm serious" and "STFU" talk. Makes me sad. :(

Regarding they way someone reacts to an individuals posts: It's not only what you say, but also the "tone."

P.S. If you note the post where I used the word "ref" I was backing your side.
