i am not on facebook, can anybody make contact with him and see if he takes commissions pleaaaaasssssseeeee :D

They look cool.. but I'm not sure what purpose they would serve!? No bags like that are ever seen in the movie and just in general, no banks use bags like that. So iunno. :lol

Yeah, really! :emperor

If you zoom up close on the Blu-Ray, you can even see that the logo on the bag is a match.
Oh, and Devil, banks *do* use those bags, if you do large scale store business with a bank, you see these bags all of the time. I even had to look closely to make sure I made the correct closure on these bags, because there are multiple forms of closure on these kind of bags.

You stand corrected. :lol

:lol Yes.. I do stand corrected. My bad. Never noticed that in the movie.

BUT..

Yes.. but not in the way you're using them.

This was in reference to your link and title for this item:

1:6 Bank Money Bags!

Which explains my statement and confusion: Those bags are used for COINS not Cash. Symantecs I know, but I think in general most people (including myself) equate "Money" with Cash, not coins, especially for a bank robbery. Never read or seen a news report before of thieves "getting away with the Money" and it turned out they just stole like 10 bags of coins. :D

I live in S.F. and NO banks (Wells Fargo, Chase, BofA, etc.) out here (or in the East Bay where I also lived at one time) use bags like that for Cash. Not transport, not receiving (deposits, etc.) and not distributing. NONE. They use bags similar to these:

So I was just a little confused because they're coin bags. I mean yeah.. in old heist movies and what not they used bags like that. And they were supposed to be filled with cash. But TDK isn't an old-time movie. It's modern. So I was like "Ok.. who wants some coin bags for their BR Joker!?"

It's whatever.. this has gotten way to detailed for a 1/6 scale item. :rotfl:lol:lol:lol

Good luck with your sales and what not.

Thanks.
I know they're coin bags, I never purported otherwise, part of why I was so surprised by your reply, needing to correct me and minimize what I did. They're just toys, things I enjoy looking at, and sometimes I like to enhance their surroundings. I'm 42, I have dealt with banks for years through numerous jobs, I know what I'm talking about. I also know that those bags are kind of "old-timey", but they were good enough for Nolan, who was "going for a certain look" just like I was. I don't think most bank managers carry sawed off shotguns, either. If you go to my website, you'll see where I mentioned I filled them with gravel to give them weight. (like coins) I just wanted more decorative variety first and foremost with my own display, and decided to offer them to others as well while I was at it. I don't have a lot of money coming in right now, and this sort of thing allows me to get some things I want. Most banks use the lock bags now, but some do still use the old style bags for coins being picked up by small businesses, etc. (Mostly in small towns.)

Here's a picture of how I have my BRJ displayed. Lots of my HT figures are in cases like this to protect them. I wasn't planning to show it till I made a background of some sort for it, but here you go, maybe you'll see what I was going for.

I wasn't going for realism, just a look. I mean, if you want to get real about it, there would be no Joker. Chances are good someone would have taken him out with a headshot on his first heist. Hell, the cops would kill Batman too. Cool as he is, he can't have his back covered every minute he's out there. This is just supposed to be about fun.

Next time, please don't assume you so readily know a person's intentions. I mean, look at the picture from the movie I posted- the big money, the bills are on the top of the carts, Joker and crew crammed that into their bags. Sometimes it's just fun to add a little "sauce" to your displays. My Joker wanted it all. :(

Oh, and last I checked, coins are money. Hell, rolls of quarters can add up pretty fast.

Beautiful set-up! Really nice! :clap You should start a "Show Your Shelves" thread as I would like to see more of these framed boxes.

Don't mind Devil. Just be glad he (kind-of) acknowledged his error.

Remember, we are in the center of nerd town here, so debates over semantics becomes the new pissing match! ;)

Ok.. and I wasn't going for your jugular, just posting a comment. :duh

Plus, they have the added bonus of not having serial numbers, so they're much harder to track once you've stolen them.

Sounds reasonable.. and yet NO ONE has ever stolen change from a bank during a robbery.

Don't mind Devil. Just be glad he (kind-of) acknowledged his error.

STFU before I post another Photoshopped pic of you. :lol:lol:lol
