ahah crow you make me laugh because
1) you have an adam sculpt
and
2) you want to order an other one..
One of the funniest and most ridiculous comments I have read on this board
Thanks for making me laugh hard
Until you put it on a doll, then it...looks like doll clothing. To me, at least. The obsession over such small things and the lengths to which people are going to get it is pretty disturbing, not going to lie. The cost of Kato's stuff, the head sculpts, the constant buying/selling/switching of parts to complete the "ULTIMATE 1/6 JOKER OMG" is getting out of hand. Maybe it's because I'm slowly but surely getting out of collecting aside from a few things here and there, I don't know. I just can't believe the lengths people will go to for a 12" figure. You could almost buy a damn car for the money some are spending on one figure when all is said and done.
Or maybe some people need to stop watching TDK every day and get over the Joker fetish. Also stop dressing like him when you take pictures of your figures. That's step one.
Why? Don't you think that's a little harsh? It was just my opinion.
Yeah, I agree. It's really gotten out of hand. I don't know about that last bit though. I doubt people actually dress up like him while they take pictures.
Modding something to make it look better
It's not ridiculous and I think you're insulting me by your demeanor.
I think it's funny and ridiculous how far some people are willing to go for movie accuracy in a collectible action figure. Then they end up ruining said figures with heavy modifications, most of which look like crap. I'm all for movie accuracy but at heart these still know their roots as action figures which what's so fun about them.
What company produced your head? Did it have a production number? If it was just some guy that you found on here looking to make a buck by scamming a few members with expensive heads then I don't consider them legit, period. Hence the term "dirty".
I don't care if my next door neighbor can sculpt the best 1/6 portraits in the world, it wouldn't exist as far as I'm concerned.
Well that depends on someone's point of view. I definitely don't think your dried and caked up Joker head with miniature tree model hair (you know, the ones that go with train dioramas) is better.
That would be a personal preference.
Don't you people understand yet that trolls crave attention?
Leave them be and they will soon return to under their bridge.
Does anyone other than me display or even have an unmodded Joker figure anymore? After all the hype about yullis excellent sculpts it seems like all you see nowadays is custom headsculpts. Not that these aren't great, I'm just wondering did I miss a meeting that decided Yulli's sculpt was no longer acceptable.
You'll never achieve realism with 1/6 scale. Unless it's a figure of a guy who's actually 12" tall. I mean you can get close, but once you pass a certain point it's just going to be a doll with realllllly expensive parts that look marginally better than what it came with out of the box. No matter how accurate the pattern is, a 1/6 shirt is still going to be a 1/6 shirt. It's still going to look like doll clothes. No matter how accurate or realistic the head sculpt is, it's still going to be sitting on top of a doll body with doll's clothes.
At some point you have to say, "Hey...maybe I should save this money and spend it on things that actually matter."
Why? Don't you think that's a little harsh? It was just my opinion.
The right thing to do is praise what you like and keep it to yourself if you don't.
so ironic
