I'm trying to fix my broken PERS (a futile effort, I'm sure.) but I can't figure out how to remove the eyes without damaging them. I've already put a small scratch on one. Can someone give me some help?

I don't know if anyone ever did a thorugh tutorial on fixing the pERS but I do know there are pics circulating of a fixed PERS system. Looks like the dude actually took the eyes off the system and re attatched them. I know someone here has them, maybe someone here can re-post them for you. I don't know how much that will actually help but it's something. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

^ I'm pretty sure I've seen those too. I think my PERS is probably too far gone to completely repair as each eye has separated from the rig. :/ I want to try attaching some kind of stick to each eye so I can at least position them easily. I THINK I've seen someone do that before. Lol. I just have no idea how to go about doing that. Thanks for the response!

Here's what I did, I took a tiny screw driver and removed the cap on the back of the head. You'll see the break. If it's like mine it won't be the ball joint that broke, but the actual socket. I just use a small screwdriver and move each eyeball one by one until I got a natural look I was happy with and left it alone.

Yeah, that's what I do. It's just a pain to do. lol I like tinkering with it, which is what made it break in the first place.

Yet another reason why Hot toys should abandon PERS, not only does it look stupid, it is very fragile. If you use it, you should keep the eyes posed the same way forever, otherwise you risk breaking it, if you move it around all the time

I cant believe you do not know who that is, she is one of the most famous Victoria secret supermodels in the world. That is Adriana Lima.

I didn't know who it was either. I don't really keep up with all the Victoria Secrets models.:dunno

:exactly: But it won't happen. All in all I think more people like it than dislike it plus it's a gimmick to sell to new buyers. PERS isn't going anywhere. Although I'm not a fan of it I have to admit that it is extremely useful on Keaton. It's the most useful PERS has ever been and it looks great too.

Damn Karnis, those look great. It's funny since I had my BR head I never put it on the DX01 body. I mean I can't now , I sold my DX. It looks great though. Very nice shots, bud. :clap

I wish they painted the eyes looking sideways like Hongs repaint. You have shot pictures on angles and the sculpt is tilted, where the eyes can be seen easily. They are not easy to see when the picture is taken straight or the sculpt is not tilted. :(

I can hardly see the eyes on mine. :(

Nevertheless, good pictures! :)

How good is this figure? Is it worth dropping £250 on?

I picked up a DC Direct for £56 last week and I really like it but you can tell it is quite cheap, some of the clothes are a bit scruffy/not well made and I don't like the paint on the face. The bank robber mask is good though and has given me some good pictures.

Got my eye on one of these though and have done for a while but not sure if £250 is worth it? If they release the Joker DX 2.0, what would the price point be roughly? I have heard they are usually $240+ for DX figures?

Also, if I did buy this, to display the Policeman Joker, I would need to buy another body? How much do these cost?

No do not buy it, the figure overall sucks, the tailoing is terrible, its too bulky (except the pants and the shirt) and the head sculpt is ok but the eyes are too big and cartoony on the clown one. The best headsculpt of the Joker is the cop Joker but I wouldn't buy the DX Joker just for the cop Joker.

I agree with fiend, just wait for 2.0 to come out. However, I know hot toys and I am pretty sure they will stuff it up again but I have been told by someone that talks with them that it will be the best Joker ever!

:wink1:

Thanks for the responses, that has put me off buying it, I am happy with what I have at the moment so I don't mind waiting for the 2.0. I can now just get an Iron Man hot toys, trouble is they are all expensive!

Yeah Iron man figures are way too expensive especially the gimmick ones like SDCC special project and silly thing.

However, I can not see anything wrong with them, they all look good. I am sure there must be some faults but I cant see them, probably because I am not a die hard Iron man fan. IMO they are really nice looking figures. A shame about the price though :slap

Yeah, I really like the Mark III Battle Damaged, Mark IV and Mark VI.....so I am not fussy which one I get lol, although the Mark IV looks the best imo. Just need to find one!

I was set on getting this Joker and spending £250 so I am hopeful I can find one for under that and have a bit left over.

Yeah whatever you do, dont buy the DX TDK Joker. The Iron Man figures are money well spent, whereas the TDK Joker is a work in progress, hence why they are trying to fix it with version 2.0.

I also dont think the 89 Joker is worth the price either, I am regretting ordering that dam Joker now, I think it is too skinny in the face and the arms.:slap

Hot toys figures sell out very fast but do not sell very fast when they increase in price, because people do not want to spend large amounts of money after only a couple of months after the figure has been released. It usually takes years for them to sell at high prices. Mark III battle damaged has been out for years so expect to pay a lot for that one. The others are pretty recent, but scalpers on ebay list them for high prices due to them selling out fast.

I am sure if you look around you can find Mark IV, Mark V and Mark VI at the original retail price of close to it, they have not been out that long.

Good luck!

I would pay £250 for one! Packed mine yesterday and took a closer look all around it, and I really like this figure! It's very well done!
And I like that you get 2 figs in one.

Now I dont know how good the 2.0 will be. Probably alot better since HT has really been stepping it up, but maybe it is just one figure, and for like $250.

In conclusion - the figure is definatley worth £250!

You liked it so much you sold it. :lol :wink1:
