Hey, Do you have any WIP pictures of the process?

I have a few questions..
Like, if you cut off the plastic hair?
What kind of hair you used?
How did you glue it on?

thanks!

okay, here's the tutorial for styling your joker's hair. you'll need the following: real human hair blond and dark brown (you can buy at most beauty shops), green hair dye, a hobby knife, superglue, strong hair spray, strong hair gel, bobby pins, hair cutting shears, primo sculpting clay, and a couple sculpting tool for fine detail, brown paint, white paint, clear gloss paint (all acrylic), paint brushes, and a blow dryer or heat gun (be careful the heat gun as you may melt the face).

step 1: remove and cut away all of the plastic hair, and be sure not to chop a thumb or finger off!

step 2: glue down some of the dark brown hair as a base. this will make a flap on the back of the head so you'll be able to access the PERS stick and be able to move the eyes still. dye the blond hair green.

step 3: taking small sections of the green hair coat them in the hair gel and wrap around a bobby pin. hold it in place with another bobby pin, and spray it down with the hair spray. allow to dry. i don't have anymore in progress pics, sorry.
step 4: unwrap the hair and start gluing it to the head working toward the hair line. once you reach the hair line take the hair spray and style as needed to get the right shape.
step 5: take a tiny bit of clay and put it along the hair line and blend it with the sculpting tools. use a blow dryer on a high heat setting to harden the clay.
step 6: use the brown paint and paint the clay and out into the hair to give a faded grown out appearance. add a little white paint to the roots of the hair at the hair line. add some clear gloss paint to the areas that you want to look greasy, and that's it you're done!!!:clap

Crazy. I wonder who's going to use the health insurance as they've accidentally slipped a blade into their hands.

I wouldn't dream of hacking up the DX head but I will be reworking/chopping the v1 Joker head again soon. As I recently got some of that tibetan wool I bought for £1.75

While I'm at that I'll strip the paint and rework the sculpt.

AWESOME tutorial, simple and straightforward and the results are perfect! No bites for my DX head so far, so I might give that a go. Easy access to the materials as my sis is a beauty therapist

Well if you're using a swiss army knife like that you're bound to cut yourself haha But eh it isn't so bad. My friends and I get cut all the time with our exacto knives working on our architecture models and well you kind of get used to it. Just cuss, wrapp a tissue around it, tape it and it's back to work. I've cut some meat off my index finger, had the blade go right underneath the finger nail and slice right above a cuticle among other wounds with the blade...it sucks but eh it's not so bad. The bad thing is when you get blood on you're model. Then you're screwed haha

God no I'd never use that. They are lethal. When I was 11 I once slit the tip of my thumb in half when I first got that cutting cardboard due to the oil in the blade as it was that easy to fold back. The knife was only put there for scale purposes.
