Does anyone know what the Diorama is going to be made out of? Please do not tell me this is made out of cardboard.

i'm glad the shotgun is included , didn't see it in sideshow's product gallery but it is clearly stated in the product summary

I'm still wondering if there is a proof that the new DX11 overcoat will not have the grenade rigs the DX01 has?!

Does anybody know exactly?
Is there an image of the opened overcoat?

I don't think that there were two overcoats used in the movie, so it will always have had the rigs inside, even in scenes were it wasn't visable.

So if the new overcoat doesn't have the rigs, I would say it's a lot less movie-accurate.

What do you think?

It won't have the rig

Thank you for this information. Can you name a source?

This would mean Hot Toys improved the overcoat's coloring but downgraded the details by removing the rigs. :slap
I would say they just want to save money by that but looking at the price this ain't justified.

This is absolutely not movie-accurate as the Joker's real coat will probably always have the rigs inside.

:rotfl:rotfl seems like a cheap shot attempt of extorting HT for what seems to be already a solid release.

Don't buy it then :huh

It's not as I'm sure there won't be any changes from now on.
Just want decide if I'll keep my DX01 overcoat or not, as I love this grenade pose. :wink1:

Preordered it within the first hour. :wink1:

But I think that it ain't fair that Hot Toys makes an "improved" DX 2.0 release with an increased price and with LESS details?! :cuckoo:

It's not less detailed.

Who's to say that the joker didn't remove the grenades after that scene as its pretty impractical and stupid to carry grenades when he's going around terrorizing Gotham. The rings could accidentally pulled off and he'd blow himself up. :duh

Plus, during the police station scene, it says "...only lints and knives."

I mean the equipment that is needled inside the overcoat, not the grenades.

So I think you're of course right and the Joker will have removed the grenades later on but why should he remove the needled ears inside? That wouldn't make any sense :cuckoo: as it would probably have destroyed the fabric and I'm a 100% sure that the original screen used movie prop Overcoat still has this inside.

This is why I say the DX11 overcoat is less detailed and less movie-accurate than the DX01, even though the figure is way more expensive then the DX01 was.

The grenade rig is such a non issue considering all the goodies that are included with this release. By including it they would only anger the people who bought the first DX, so they should have things that set them apart. They have MORE than made up for it.

I get the point in that, but I have the DX01 and still I would at least have liked to have the new overcoat with the improved color and with the movie-accurate needled ears inside, even though the figure comes without the grenades. One could display it with the DX01 grenades, as it's the most desirable pose in my point of view.

Actually I just wanted to know whether it comes with or without those needled ears:

Now we got the answer. Still think it's less movie-accurate without.

i really couldn't care less about the grenade rig.
and if you really want it get one from the DX01.

and im sure you can put the DX01 rig on the DX11 coat.
if i want the grenade rig one day that is what im going to do.

Well as I can see there are many who don't care about the rig. :lol :rotfl
Think there are some who do care and I believe there will even be custom mods with the DX01 rig needled inside the new more orange colored DX11 overcoat.

Maybe I'll get back to you then and you can give me some advise?! :yess:
I'm not a good tailor so I guess I'll just keep my DX01 overcoat.

Just don't get why they don't just include it to give us a complete movie-accurate overcoat. They could just have omit the grenades. Think it's just about making more money. Surely the DX11 will also come in a plastic blister and not in a foam packaging as the DX01 did, which will cause some nice shiny areas at the figures plastic parts making it look sweaty due to abrasion on the transport... Just like my first Kevin Flynn figure did
:gah:
