Here. I couldn't resist :lol

This is what i've been talking about. I know its subtle but for me the jaw profile has plenty of room for improvement

You lasted 16 minutes before you caved....:impatient::panic::yess::lol

:rotfl:rotfl:slap:

Exactly - except some people are (stupidly) arguing that the expression is different and that's why the shape of the jaw is different.

The same issue exists in my comparison with a totally different expression though, so your original photoshop was bang on the money :lecture

Btw if you follow the lines on the HT head on my comparison pic, you'll see the infamous 'heart' shape Darkavatar has been going on and on about :lol

And he's been right :lecture

But the width of the head/jaw is perfectly fine IMO

Like everyone else I grow weary of the jaw discussion, but then again it's the major issue with this figure. I just wanted to point out that I'm not sure people understand what a profile is -- at least insofar as the above photos indicate. A profile means someone's side view. Anyway. I'll let the hard core arguers go back to it.

Gotta tell ya, even with your lines ... I'm not seeing even a subtle difference. Your lines are different -- but the jawline in those two photos looks exactly the same to me. This is especially impressive considering the facial expressions and photo angles are slightly different.

I'm just not seeing your "outward curves".

Makes a HUGE difference. Wish we do end up getting the one on the right. The 2.0 is very very impressive, Yullie did a magnificent job but they HAVE to change the face shape. She did a bang up job on the sculpt, but the shape of the face is throwing it off.

It was evident even on the animation video with the Hot Toys figures.

I am PM you once, so stop trying act like I am pming you all the time, you idiot. I am not bashing the Hot Toys Joker, I am just point out faults that I and many others see with it. I love the figure but I can see the faults. I don't get how you can not see that the shape of the jaw is wrong but void and I can see it.

I dont understand how this site works, people said they have stop reading threads because of me, but it is people like you that want to push people's buttons to start up these arguments to begin with. I just do not know how to handle it, so I keep replying to what you say and it turns into an argument. Then page after page I seem to dominate the thread.

I know I have said this before but I am pretty sure this is my last post on freaks.

I will let Void be the one to point out the problems with figures from now on.

Personally, I don't believe you are intentionally trolling. That said, you are unintentionally annoying.

I know from experience that restating your opinion over and over pisses people off. I also know from experience that PM'ing Devil_666 when butt-hurt pisses him off. :wave

If I may, you don't seem to understand the concept of moderation. I'm not trying to offend you, but every page is you pointing out what you believe are flaws. That's not the way to go about things. Maybe it would be best if you left that sort of thing to other people. Freaks is an awesome place to discuss our hobby, so just leave the nitpicking alone for a while. Others will pick up your slack, don't worry. Just kick back, and enjoy the figures, and the boards.

:goodpost: These boards are great. It just takes time to get a feel for it. :)

Your sig doesn't match up anymore! :panic:

:lol

Never has for me. :lol

It won't, because it's not an accurate example. The make-up + lighting in that pic is making his jaw look less wide than it actually was.

Here's what I mean:

Good post and btw my problem with the jaw has nothing to do with the width - the width is perfect IMO.

It's the shape. And I'm not bothered to post a circles and arrows pic right now

Darkavatar I hope you saw the above posts.

Part of the reason people take Voids posts better than yours is that he actually has valid, well thought out arguments while also acknowledging the valid points of others.

Just sticking to an argument and restating it over and over again doesn't make it true.

Totally agree that Heath's jaw has sharper lines.

That said, this head-sculpt is so good that for the first time I actually don't want them to change anything for fear that they eff it up.

It's sooooo close right now.

In fact although the jaw is closer to correct in the above photoshop, for some reason the original pic in the middle still looks a tad more like Heath Ledger to me. :dunno

Good God. :slap

*exits thread for good*

I'm pretty sure the vast majority of us keep seeing that there are new posts and click to see what they are, hoping for new news or something.

And each time, we are sorely disappointed, by the same, pointless "discussion" about the likeness of a figure that hasn't even been held in-hand by any of us yet.

I took a break from the boards for a month or so, and had literally 4000 posts of this garbage to go through, in this thread alone, in case I missed anything important.

The joke was on me, I guess.

I think is a good thing that people are arguing about the shape of the jaw, and some are able to see a differente and some other don't see it and some others like me think that the difference is a bit small to care about. The good part is that it means the figure is so good that actually the flaws are debatable.. this one is the best Hot Toys batman related figure of this year so far...

I think it's the eyes, and, honestly, I'm pretty baffled that people are calling for larger eyes when people are always complaining about PERS for that exact reason. As for the jaw, it makes no difference to me.

Agreed. I was worried the prevailing opinion about this figure was negative, but in fact the issues people have with it are small and dwarfed by the flaws with the much more expensive EB figure.

To be honest, I'm not even convinced there are any legit complaints about this one. There are definite legit complaints about Bane (physique, weathering), about Catwoman (hairline, neck), maybe even one or two about the DX12 Batman (that one faceplate is a bit weird).

But, on this one, I've seen the photoshops ... and they just don't look better to me.

Enterbay is alright -- not good enough for the price and scale, though. Sculpt is off. Overcoat has flying nun lapels. This one is quite a bit better.
