Naw, in 2-3 years we will have Joker figures of the next Batman films and Ledger will be forgotten about.

Like 89 Joker has been forgotten about? Not happening, especially as Ledger's Joker has been a greater pop culture phenomenon, and probably HT's single biggest selling character (probably only rivalled by Iron Man due simply to the huge amount of different versions of Iron Man). :lol

I think they are being very very sarcastic..........

Their DX12 Wayne sculpt is very similar to Adam's Wayne too. Surprised they didn't use his neutral Joker sculpt. :lol

Could it have something to do with the fact that they're both based on the same person? :dunno I'm not knocking Adam, but these "Sculpt X looks an awful lot like Adam's" comparisons are getting ridiculous. Other than having the same likeness, the DX 12 sculpt is almost completely different.

Yeah I agree- how they think it looks just like his.....is a stretch to me!!!!

by the way your Gif is the greatest ever.......

Probably... just look how similar the EB 1/4 and HT 1/4 Wayne sculpts are. :wink1:

No. The details are not exactly the same but Adam's and HT's Wayne sculpts are very alike. People would not have brought it up if they weren't. Whether they really did use his sculpt with some modifications, looked at it for inspiration, or used the same source photos is anyone's guess.

It's a great sculpt either way. Just not really specific to his TDKR look.

Bull____. The expressions are different, the facial structures are different (Adam's gaunter TDK Wayne vs. HT's fuller faced Wayne). I swear some of you act like Adam is the one responsible for what these people look like. The whole thing is ludicrous. :slap

It's logical to assume that the student would learn from the master.

I think it's the eyes, and, honestly, I'm pretty baffled that people are calling for larger eyes when people are always complaining about PERS for that exact reason. As for the jaw, it makes no difference to me.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too.

There's always another Joker. Don't worry. :lol

Never thought I'd say it, but I'm Jokered out. I can't be the only one.

I hope you're right. The next Joker I buy (ater the DX11 arrives) will not be Heath Ledger.

Difference is that Nicholson never existed in a licensed 1/6 figure.

There are at least 7 licensed 1/6 Ledger Jokers already.

Has anyone else noticed that Hot Toys straight stole Adams sculpt of the laughing Joker? I guess they didn't necessarily steal his idea, but the sculpts look awful similar.

I'm sorry, but did this Adam character pay WB for the license and rights to use and sell the likeness of the Joker character?

Did he pay royalties to Heath Ledger's estate to use and sell the likeness of the actor's face?

Is anyone that is actually connected to the creation of this beloved character, or this specific, beloved incarnation of the character, receiving any sort of compensation for their hard work, which apparently has been used to generate income for this presumably unlicensed artist?

Because I know Hot Toys sure as hell did pay for it.

Maybe you should think twice before you throw around words like "stealing," and consider who is doing what, exactly.
