And some people are assuming they didn't. What I'm trying to do is apply some logic to the question based on some facts that are widely known. It's called a hypothesis, not an assumption.

They buy retail stock from the only (and official) distributor in the US - Sideshow. BBTS has been sold out of their original stock since January. Sideshow since February.

Wherever, or from whomever they obtained this DX12, you can be 100% sure it was at an "inflated" price. Sure, we don't know what that price was, but just as easily as it could have been lower than the example I used above, it could have been higher.

Oh, and the "going rate" on eBay is $430 plus shipping. That's the amount where you can readily find one, not the average, which is higher than that.

I think it's with the gaps between the teeth. It's a smaller figure so the gaps they painted/worked on look bigger and gives him this weird look.

I think it's with the gaps between the teeth. It's a smaller figure so the gaps they painted/worked on look bigger and gives him this weird look.

I doubt it. I've seen a few people do it in the Marvel forum. However, most people just pose them legit. I just thought the majority of you wouldn't mind something different. I mean, do you want to see me post the same pictures, doing the same poses as everyone else?

I did the following mods -

Neck mod
Gauntlet and elbow mod
Shortened gloves
Heated up the shoulder plates to get it tighter to the body
Painted the eyelids
Purchased three custom capes
Purchased custom mouth plate
Purchased extra hands for glove mod
Purchased extra neck post for neck mod
Purchased custom backpack

I think that is it. The DX12 is my most expensive figure and I have spent a bit of cash on the extra items. He isn't even my favourite figure but this hobby really gets a hold of your wallet.

Overall I'm happy with him.

PS - I posed him with the custom backpack just encase any one is after one.
