Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - Batman/Bruce Wayne Full specs and

Nice to see a fellow from UK :D Annoying how expensive they are for us :(

In fact is expensive for everyone outside the US.. I laugh (or cry :monkey2) when I see this guys complaining about a figure being so expensive as $250, when I have to pay $370 (after shipping + taxes) for the same figure.

Truly we are shafted upon high here in the land of tea & rain :)

Ahaha and wonderful conversations about the weather and cricket matches :)

Thats a shame to hear that not only UK suffers this (but also brings joy that we aren't the only ones :1-1:). Yeah, I have to pay $310 (£200) for TDKR Batman figure and $350 (£225) for the bat-pod :monkey2 although thats including taxes and shipment so you're having it even worse, hope you're wallet is coping

I'm in the UK boat too. Mega expensive from sideshow. He is a lot cheaper if u order from a uk supplier but they are simply ordering through sideshow anyway so you're waiting twice as long for figs.

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - Batman/Bruce Wayne Full specs and

im kind of disappointed with sdcc so far, at least from a spectators standpoint...last year we got the 89 reveal, supes even if it was revised, and more...this year no batman returns, no batman 1/4's from either EB or HT, a sub par OST Angelica :dunno maybe im getting spoiled but i was hoping for more.

Im in the uk and have always ordered from osb but just pre ordered my first figure from ssc so I'm gonna wait and see how they are for future releases e.g customs and postage

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - Batman/Bruce Wayne Full specs and

$25-27 for shipping, usually varies from £35 to £50 for import fees.

$354.77 for me if I order from Toys2. And because of an unfavorable exchange rate it ends up more expensive if I order it from the UK...well unless somewhere else in the UK has it cheaper than Forbiddenplanet.com

Actually what seems to be a pattern with Fp.com - they initially list HT figures at a higher price and then lower them a couple days later....so what happens if you happen to order it at the higher price? Are they intending to charge that higher price and hope people don't notice?

That's what really annoys me, you could order the figure from a US website which means that it will be much cheaper but then you end up paying an insane amount for the import fees which makes the figure just as if not more expensive than in UK.

Nonono, if the price drops during the pre-order then you pay the dropped price, they wouldn't dare try and trick you because then they would lose customers.

Has anyone in UK ever ordered from ToyHQ?? Out of all the UK prices they seem to be the cheapest (not by much) but I haven't ordered from them before so I don't know how it will turn out.

I have to mention that fp do try to rip you off. I pre ordered the new bat pod at 220 and a few days later saw it listed for 197. I checked my account and my order price was still at 220. I canceled and re ordered it at the new price. I'm pretty sure in the fine print i read that this will be the final price I'm charged. This means that if you order at a price and they raise it you are fine, but if they lower it you will be charged the higher price. Sneaky mo fos!

WOW!!! I've been away for one week without internet and now I checked in on the DC section, and man have hot toys revealed some really sweat stuff :D!!!!

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - Batman/Bruce Wayne Full specs and

To order this guy from SS would work out to £166.00 or thereabouts without shipping. After you take in the mauling from HM customs you can probably add another £50.00 on top of that. Which is why I thought I'd give Onesixthbruce a try.

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - Batman/Bruce Wayne Full specs and

Since I live in Australia, shipping tends to be more expensive $40-50 range. Is there any website that has low shipping?

Edit: If that makes sense. My English is horrible.

Wise choice, I was trying to decide between onesixthbruce, collectiblesdirect and ToyHQ. Any particular reason why you chose onesixthbruce?

Also, did you know that we'll be getting our figures about a month after their release? :monkey2

Makes perfect sense, your English is good :) As I understand it your shipment costs that much because you are ordering from US or HK? Try to find an Australian HT retailer, the price for the figure will be higher but you won't be paying as much for the delivery (but it will probably end up being the same price in total unfortunately). This is the price we pay for not living in US or HK :gah:
