Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - BATMAN / BRUCE WAYNE Full Specs &
...best to ignore him, though.
...best to ignore him, though.
I understand perfectionism and everything I do I wanna do perfect as well, but actually I really like this release, apart from the mouth pieces.
Can't wait to finally get a Batman with a flexible suit.
I know you're all right and all the comparisons are exciting but in the end it will have a stunning Batman look and nobody who will see it after having watched the movie will go to a shelve and say... "And which one of those is Batman?"
My DX12 is set to arrive anytime this week. Got it off Ebay from a guy who was selling in here within the States at a very reasonable price. $275 with free shipping. I just ordered a lforigno custom cape and I'm on the list for HunterElf's custom mouthpiece.
However what I've been worried with is the longevity of this suit. It still bugs me. The stress marks I am alright with. I don't do extreme poses anyway. As long as the pieces don't fall completely the **** off, I guess I can glue back the small tabs that might lift off. However just the fact I have might have to go around and glue little bits back onto the suit because Hot Toys can't use a better quality glue is IMO ridiculous.
They could have easily just not released this and the people without the DX02 would have been screwed.
It feels like I'm the only one here that appreciates the DX12 regardless of all the "imperfections". They could have easily just not released this and the people without the DX02 would have been screwed.

The "imperfections" I'm starting to learn to cope with. Its just the bs quality issues that are aggravating me. If I'm paying close to $300, I don't want to worry about my figure starting to peel or fall apart 3 weeks later.
I sold my DX02 for the DX12 and honestly, I admit the improvements made in the DX12. But my DX02 was in pristine condition even after all this time. And it was from the controversial initial first batch shipment. No oil, no breaking of the ankles inside the boots, no misshaped heads. It did help that I kept my DX02 in a neutral pose for the duration it was with me.
And with Hot Toys, I eventually knew they would return to this version of Batman after the Dark Knight Rises was announced. As long as they're people willing to shell out money, they will continue making these figures somewhere down the road. That's what I think anyway.
My posting was just about the figures appearance
Concerning qc issues I share your opinion at a 100%. Hate the fact that there almost isn't any HT release without qc issues and very often the reason is just cheap material.
Looking at the prices this shouldn't happen.
I mean for example there is rubber material available that can be touched a hundred times without looking stressed
oh damn, should have kept your DX02
Jesus, you are such a troll Butters. You seem to be fighting with someone in every single thread. Give us all a rest mate? No one is interested, it doesn't make anyone angry, it just comes across as desparate and sad, mate. Do you need attention that much?

I was tempted at first to keep it too but now I admit, the improvements the DX12 has over the DX02 outweigh the negatives. I only need one version of Batman in my collection and the DX12 is the best one out there right now. The Medicom version I had at one point and that thing was no good right out of the box. Extensive modding is required to make it look good

You're obviously waging war against HT by making up issues to damage their reputation. It's funny and isn't making the slightest bit of difference. Keep going with your zombie army...it won't last forever.

Somehow this reminds me at something...
Really miss my DX02 but in my case it was from the last batch and there always was a tiny little bit of oil under the belt. This and the lack of flexibility made me sell this figure.
As I already wrote: Seems like I'll have to wait til January to get mine
You can see it's spaceholder in the middle:
That spot needs to be filled right away~ Such a gaping blank there. Hopefully this time around, with the newer batches, the QC issues will be less so you should be patient for your DX12
