It's not anything near a piece of junk in my book...
Here's a quick shot of mine...got it a couple days ago and only just now have had a chance to really have a look at it....
I know I've got a ways to go in futzing it, especially the cape, which is giving me a bit of grief...but I'm really impressed with this figure.
I don't have any other "Dark Night/Batman" figures (except SWAT Gordon...also a really cool looking figure) so I don't have the range of comparison that many on here have. But damn! This is an "outta the park" figure for me. From the box presentation to the figure itself, with the fine collection of accessories and the impressive stand, it's a great display piece for this Nolan-Bat fan...
While this isn't my first HT figure (or first Bale HT figure...got John Connor a few years back - still one of my favorites)...this is my first go-round with PERS...and it works fine for this figure. Certainly requires a little finesse to get it looking right (and very easy to get some crazed, whacked looks) but it is a cool option for a figure like this. Still on the fence if it really works okay for regular figures (ie" no mask or make-up)....maybe some day, I'll take a chance on one.
For now though, I'm looking forward to getting a chance to really work with this figure, with the various weapons and some posing for shots.
There's already been some pretty amazing shots posted in here by folks...so I'll just add to the fray....
Been enjoying the spirited discourse on what to mod (I'm quite happy with it the way it is) and the various reviews (especially the videos)...looking forward to next year when the Dark Knight can face off against Bane in my collection....
