I remember when I got my first HTs piece. It was the Mark II release from years back. I was blown away by the articulation. Same as you had mentioned. Just phenomenal.

That's amazing. It honestly looks like something from the movie. I know that's a reflection of the quality of work from HTs, but it's also a reflection on the collection and how well that can display these.

Thanks you can do the same as I did taking 2 Detolf glass cabinets and very carefully lay them horizontally on a solid surface. Once you have them on a solid surface like a strong table you then start to carefully remove the back glass pieces to create a bread box style display case for around 130.00. The key is taking your time. Have another person help you and don't flex the glass or it will shatter and may cut you.

Well, it definitely shows. Excellent and very classy set-up. Had to give you props. Don't think I've seen an IM set-up quite like that.

I took Hookietwo's advise and created wooden hard wired batteries for the HOA lights. I'm pretty happy with the result but don't know where Midas will fit in. So I may have to build another display for him that will eventually be the House party protocol basement

No collection thread yet. I feel I'm not done yet so thats why I have not started one. I have a crazy Batman display too that I have not posted yet, but that doesn't belong in this thread. Hell my setup pics don't belong in here either. Once I have Midas on Tuesday, I will need to place him creatively in my display somehow, or just wait to build another display for the HPP.

In case you want to do the Ikea Detolf thing here is a top view of it. Keep in mind I have created a Glass Breadbox. I open the front like a breadbox and have a depth of 36 inches now. It looks better in person than my pics. I only have an Iphone 5 camera which takes decent pictures with light, but when I want to capture the display in the dark with the LED's on its hard.

So I'm really excited to get my Midas armor this week, It's my second armor with the Mark 7 being my other one. But now I've caught the Iron Man bug and I'm about to buy the Mark 1 and 2 and looking for 6. But my question to you guys is should I buy the Mark 3-5 now or do you think Hot Toys will make updated versions of them.

You can always monitor the Side Show Experience site for upcoming announcements ,https://www.sideshowtoy.com/experience/preview/ or got to Hot Toys site direct to look around. At this point I think Hot toys will be keeping the memory of Iron man 3 in peoples minds so they will want to get the House Party Protocol Armors produced and sold. No telling if they will go back and do the older Mark's once the Iron man 3 ones are sold.

My advise is if you are going to do the set of 7 HOA then take your time and buy all the old Mark armors. They are all awesome except mark III which is boring. Spend time on this forum. I have bought many items so far from fellow members.

Thanks Adello25, yeah it's been a work in progress for a few months now. When I got the HOA I ripped apart my old display and added the HOA which really brought it to life.

Yeah I agree the BD Mark 3 look 100 times better than the Clean version.

And as for the "wine cellar" suits, in the commentary, Shane Black talks about how upset he was that Marvel/Disney showed so much of the other suits in the trailers and other promo stuff. He wanted to never mention the other 34 suits at all and only show footage of the MK42 and IP(Without ever referring to the MK42 by name).
If he had his way, the reveal of all the other suits would have been a total geek-out surprise for fans in the house party scene at the end.

It would've hardly been a concession for all the bashing/berating that the House Party Protocol has received.

I do too...but all I got was a 20$ off card.

No offense to others but these are IMO the best Midas pics so far. Good job dude!
