I have Midas coming(If they ever charge me, lol), and I to VII with a spare MKVII and a spare MKIII, but have no desire to get any of the rest of the IM3 armours.
It's just getting too hard to be a completist with how many they are bringing out.
I'll just admire everyone else's from afar.
:rotfl

I hear you. The completist mentality in this case will cost you a small fortune. Not to mention, is it really worth the space that they will take up? Not knocking those that will have them all, but when all is said and done, that's A LOT of Iron Men. :lol

Exactly.
With this lot(And the BDMKVII on another shelf with the Avengers), i can call my collection complete:

Until they release the Age of Ultron suits that is! :lecture

I find myself having a hard time quitting the IM3 line. This will become a very expensive venture to collect all of the Marks. I have Midas coming, but also Iron Patriot and Mark 42 die cast. I almost think we need to form a support group for IMCS (Iron Man Completist syndrome)
I know I have IMCS but can't find a way to get rid of it

I don't know how some of you collectors do it. There's just WAY too much to keep up with.

Every week, it's like there's something new!

You and I both, bro. How do I join the IMCS support group? I definitely need to sign up.

Well sometimes I feel the compulsion to pre order all them for retail pricing. I keep telling myself that I can always sell it but once I have it in hand it seems to go into my collection and stays there.

It's weird for me because I don't feel the compulsion to own all the Tony Stark figures or even the Mandarin. I already have the Tony XL 42 and he comes with enough accessories that I'm content with. Same goes for me with the Avengers I own Avengers Thor and even though the head sculpt is better on the new version I still don't feel the compulsion to own. When it comes to the Iron Man Armor suits I feel the need to collect as a set. I know they were only in the movie for minutes or seconds , but still love the slight differences in each suit.

The suits are the killers though! There's SO, SO MANY, even when you take Stark out of the equation!!!

Are you collecting the die-cast series as well?

Yes I have a PO for ex War machine, Iron Patriot, Mark 42. I also have a PO for Red Snapper even though he is PPS. I don't know if they will produce any of the die cast or just convert them to plastic like they did with HeartBreaker which was originally part of Die cast series.

You're going all out! That's nuts!

So HeartBreaker is in the die-cast series too? I liked that suit in the movie. That and Igor.

I'm with you. I only started collecting about 2 years ago and I already have over 20 figures, and counting. And I also have many, probably too many, pre-orders. And I also agree that the Iron Man (armored suit figures) are particularly enticing. Hi, my name is _____ and I'm an action figure addict.

Somebody needs to start that addiction thread! HTs puts something in their pieces that makes people want more and more. I don't know what it is. I don't ask. But, it's some strong stuff.

Yeah almost forgot about Igor he is also on PO. So HeartBreaker was originally announced in the Die cast line but then got changed to Plastic. They have delayed release of Iron Patriot and XL42 till next summer. I guess if they can't get their Die cast process corrected and mastered then maybe they will drop the Die cast line entirely.

Yes I'm trying to go for all if them. I'm hoping the HOA goes on clearance because I need 5 more sets of 7 :)

Ouch my wallet is what everyone is saying who is a fan of the Iron Man obsession

:panic:

I'm really excited to see some in-hand pics of the die-cast pieces. It's nice for newer collectors to the 1:6th line because now, they're able to start fresh with a new line and not have to play 'catch up.'

Well let me tell you I just started collecting in June of this year. I kind of thought the same thing as you and was only going to get the Die cast line coming from a Transformers G1 era collector. I found myself not wanting to wait and bought a Mark V just to see what all the hype about Hot Toys was. First thing I noticed was the figure felt light but was impressed by the articulation and sculpting details. I was also happy with the accessories. This led me to buy War Machine and I loved how thick the armor is he has a real girth to him. Anyway it's all downhill from there paying eBay prices and bought a bunch from forum members. I have spent a lot on my plastic crack addiction. I don't see an end in sight for my problem.

I remember when I got my first HTs piece. It was the Mark II release from years back. I was blown away by the articulation. Same as you had mentioned. Just phenomenal.

Get out now, while you can!!! :lol
