Purchased at $450, coming in a few days. Bought two, one for me and one for a friend :) i'll probably sell the Gantry (way too big for me, I'm into statues now)

Wow you got a deal. That is cheaper then retail. But why would you paid that much extra for just the Mark 4 without BD? The Gantry by themself are not really selling for every much.

For $450 I don't blame him. The Mark 4 is going for $300-$400 alone.

He might as well get the Gantry Set for $450 and sell the Gantry for $300. Making the Mark 4 only $150 for him.

Sorry for the late answer guys: a shop here in Italy had a half dozen of sets left so they put them on a 20% discount, down to 400€, which is around 520$. I negotiated down to 450$ shipped :)
Also, I already have a buyer for the Gantry at 260$, glad this way :)

Wow, this thing w/ the Mark IV is already going for $700 on eBay.

I know, I could have gotten it for $500 a couple of weeks ago and right before I was going to pull the trigger the seller raised the price to $620, now I'm just on the edge on whether I should get the stand alone gantry, been looking on the boards to see if anyone is selling one

There's Amiami (from Japan)... at around 400... with shipping (to US) probably close to 500..

Given how far the tech in the films has advanced this thing looks like an antique :lol

It's funny. In IM2, tony arrives at the Stark expo and the suit is taken off and stored under the stage.
Then he leaves in his car... In NY...
I wonder how he got the suit back? Or whether it was just left there in the gantry storage area.
The next time we see him wearing it is at the party. At his mansion in CA.

Movie magic my friend :nana:

We have a guy flying into a stadium in a suit only to have it taken off of him by machines. Pretty sure it made it's way back to him on it's own. :lol

You guys know the same gantry was in Iron Man too? Wasnt aware about it till I noticed Tony removing the mk iii for the first time...

Yup. Surprised many people missed that. That scene holds the infamous "This is not the worst thing you've got me doing."

Also has the cameo of Captain America's shield being half build behind him on his work desk as a teaser for CA.

Watch it again.
It's a *radically* different gantry. It's gigantic, for one. The side "arm removers" are about twice the size of the IM2 Gantry versions.
Tony stands about four feet off the ground, and some of the arms come from the roof, not the floor.
There are also more arms coming out of the floor, and the gantry floor panels open in a different way.

It's *not* the same gantry...
