Hoping it looks better in a secret base pic. Those promo shots are always rough.

More than often, not. They're using professional photos (the works). Honestly, the only recent figure that comes to mind that looked better shown vs promo pictures was the Mk. 45. But I think that had much more to do with the change in colors (mostly the gold, but also to a degree the red).

I have ordered this but am hoping the paint changes during production. It's a shame hot toys has passed the phase they had about a year ago where they would chrome anything that stayed still long enough, batman, iron man, a toilet bowl, the coffee boy in the office... this would look great with a reflective paint like the 45 face plate (but obviously in silver).

Actually might have considered picking this up had they painted it correctly. Someone repainted the original Unleashed version a while back and it looks incredible.

Would have done wonders on this version had they bothered to do it. They need to stop giving the Mark 2 such a dull silver.

Oh well maybe when they re-release this figure for the fourth time.

Nice photos that repaint looks great. $330 for a figure with the incorrect color of paint......and the whole figure is that color:slap.

Soooo repaint (with added rivets and a few other small changes) of the DC Mk III right? By the way, I don't mean repaint pejoratively, I just wonder why it took so long when they pretty much had everything they needed since they made the DC MkIII. By the way I love my DC MKIII figure. But, I'm not sure I am going to get this now, there are too many other figures out now competing for my money, including some Iron Men. If they had released this instead of the Mk III stealth Armor repaint (which I had no interest in) I might have pulled the trigger back then for sure. Also, the price has gone up $20 from the MK III, and it looks to be essentially the same product. I'll watch this and will be interested when the production photos come out, but I won't be pre-ordering. The only way I'll get this is if it looks beyond amazing when released and I happen to have enough cash to pick one up if it is still in stock after it has already come out. But even then, I put this as an extremely doubtful purchase for me with all the other figures I want to get and the MKII not being that different from the MKII I already have.

Looks like it is just repaint of the III die-cast (with a couple of added features like the bolts all around, different gauntlet weaponry, etc.) so it might have the same ankle articulation (or lack thereof) issue and the separate (spacious) shoulder joints that a lot of people didn't like.

Well I put down $108.40 in rewards for this so I'm only paying $221.60 plus shipping. Yes the price is higher than I thought, but with using rewards helped make it more affordable. I only plan on using my rewards on Iron Man armors.

Ya, but to be fair, when Rhodey flies the suit to the Air Force base in IM2, the suit looks a lot more like the colour on the new figure...

That's because it's outdoors and the suit is being lit from all directions by the sky. Stick it indoors with a couple of light sources and you get more contrast.

PO'd from BBTS, now my personal IM 1 Collection is complete -- Mark 1 2.0, Mark 2 diecast, Mark 3 Ex diecast and iron Monger. Done.

It's curious to me that we haven't seen a prototype of this outside of the promo pics ... holding off until I see a Secret Base pic.

I think there's a show this weekend. ACGHK I believe. Hopefully it'll be there. I think it's weird that it wasn't shown at SDCC especially since they planned to role it out for PO right after.

PO'd, was starting to worry when I sold my IM MK II unleashed assuming they would do a diecast in the future! Glad it came through.
