If you want it I would grab it while you can. While it’s no Mk VI or War Machine MK1, I think it will be a pretty underrated figure and go pretty quick once people see in hands photos.

We've had in hand photos for about 3 weeks now though.

So what is the consensus that this will sell out quickly like the Mark V? Waited too long on the V and am now regretting it.

I think this one may stick around for a bit. A lot of people are passing on it since it's essentially a repaint of an inferior/older mold. I, for one, am definitely passing on it, which is a shame cause I really did want it. Oh well, money saved is money earned.

Has anyone else requested a pack out from SSC for this figure? I requested one, but was told this figure was too big to pack out???

So basically they are saying that they don't have any boxes that are 1.5 inches wider than the boxes they usually use for pack outs. That's pretty lame.

I’m incredibly dumbfounded by this. I’m willing to pay the additional $10 fee on top of their ridiculous shipping prices and they are still unwilling to provide a pack out?

Every other vendor I use packs out by default (BBTS, Timewalker, Alter Ego, Underground Figures). How on earth is SSC not able to.

I’m draining my RP and then won’t purchase from them unless there’s an exclusive that I really want.

BBTS is the way to go for packouts plus $4 shipping but SS has slightly better customer service.

Yeah - I’ve been using a combination of BBTS, Timewalker, Alter Ego, and Underground figures since they always provide pack outs. I only have a few pre-orders out with SSC for exclusives and/or ones I ordered with the old $20 off coupons.

I’ll stick with SSC for the exclusives and until I drain my RP.

Just incredibly surprised that a company that is built around collectibles doesn’t realize that the Hot Toys shippers really don’t provide the best protection.

The funny thing is I think the boxes that SS use for packouts can fit the die cast figures

Hot Toys Want:

MMS 150 - Iron Man 2 - Iron Man Mark II Armor Unleashed Version (to hell with the lazy die-cast version)
MMS 189 - The Avengers - Agent Phil Coulson (Hoping for a 2.0 AoS version, but not expecting it)
MMS 121 - Iron Man 2 - Whiplash 1.0 (Hoping for an updated version, but not expecting it)

I must admit this made me chuckle, however I can't help but feel this new MII is subpar in contrast to the other die-cast figures. Nonetheless, I still think it is indeed a cool figure, and I'm still anticipating it.

waited til the last minute and decided to pull the trigger on it, mark 2 is great , but in reality its a Mark 1 War Machine

i need mark 2 iron man tony stark or else my Hall of Armor will never be complete

How are those sites when it comes to getting figures in and shipping (time wise)? Are they as quick as sideshow or faster/slower? I've never bought any from those sites before and I'm just curious.

Direct from SSC is the fastest. Alter Ego and Timewalker seem to get them around the same time. I ordered one figure from SSC for myself and one from Alter Ego for my son. It ended up being a couple of weeks afterwards. BBTS seems to be getting theirs last. I’ve been reading some examples of really long delays after others.

SSC is is the fastest because you are skipping the middleman.

Everyone gets their orders from SSC. The thing is SSC ships the orders to their customers 1st. So if it's a full shippment from Hot Toys then Timewalker, Alter Ego, BBTS should have their order in a few days after SSC starts shipping to everyone.

If Hot Toys has partial shipmments of a order to SSC then the other retailers could be waiting awhile as SSC ship to their customers then wait for the next shipment to mail to their customers before sending out to other retailers.

BBTS has been having issues with several distributors lately i'm starting to wonder if they are having cash flow problems or something.

I wondered the same about Bbts. Usually you see companies get slowed like that when they don’t pay their bills on time or in full. The last couple of large retailers to go under started this way.

Maybe that’s why they’re price gouging on items once they initially go out of stock.
