Here’s the email response I received from Sideshow.

Yes but it will stay way higher than usual (a bit odd next to other troopers). What I discovered taking the pic is that somehow Stormie Han body is taller than two-pack tall one, adding a third height to the bunch.

Mine hasn't shipped yet. Status says "Payment Processing" although in my order details it shows the final payment as "paid".

That's exactly what mine has been saying, even today.

Well guess what? It unexpectedly arrived at my door today. A pleasant surprise.

So...it's too dark to snap any clear photos, so my traditional Bad iPhone Snaps will have to wait until morning.

First impressions: as expected, this body's proportions are a little nicer than the original stormie release, just as Luke-in-Disguise was. The slightly higher chest plate works well, and as for the sculpt...I quite like it. Especially with a little sardonic tilt to the head.

I have NO IDEA why they didn't include a DLT-19, as this release needed it, but oh well.

Mine says the same thing but I've gotten an update on my UPS app that has it en route to be delivered next week. Not sure why their website isn't updating.

**Just checked SS website again and now it shows that my order has shipped and has updated shipping progress when i clicked on track package. Guess it just took awhile to update.

I asked SS when mine would ship. They told me that they have received a small pre-delivery with which first orders will be sent out. Larger delivery will arrive soon. Seems like a reasonable story considering some are receiving theirs already. Anyway can only wait.

Re-visiting the Hot Toys OT helmet with these guys -- they're actually a pretty decent match to screen caps of the hero helmets Ford and Hamill wore in the prison-break scene -- I've mentioned before that the disguise helmets with the full-reveal innards seem to have very slightly different heights compared to the first stormie release. They don't compare favourably at all with the ubiquitous stunt helmets -- a problem neatly solved by a certain Solo_bones.

I haven't made a close comparison, but upon casual inspection, yes -- exactly the same.

I ordered pretty late using the $50 coupon and my status just changed today to shipped. So either they received their large shipment or they fill orders without rhyme or reason. It seems like they use a lottery/random system to fill orders sometimes.

That's interesting. I wonder why they went with a taller body? Does it match the height to the smuggler Han body (at least to the shoulders)?

Yep. Both Hans are the same height up to the shoulders. Then, you have to work that Storm Han neck joint/head post a little to have both figures looking the same height overall.

I do not know if the ball joint is the same size, but I would switch the head socket of the Han (lowers his height) with your short trooper (raises his height). I’ve done surgery to all four of my shorties giving them normal necks or taller ball joints to elevate them to not look smash necked.

That short stormtrooper would bug me much more than the Han trooper as the Han TK has good proportions compared to the squashed neck shorty and it’s poor fitting armor (short body) in your photo. Tall foot pegs also help the shortie lower leg armor proportions and get it up heigher to normal height as well.

CA as in Canada, not California. It said “shipped” and a look at tracking confirmed delivery. First time that’s ever happened.
