Saw the movie today. It was spectacular. I loved Finn and Poe, but Rey was definitely my favorite character. I eagerly await this figure.

So I just got back from the movie, I absolutely loved Rey. She was by far my favorite character in the movie. Ordered the set with BB-8! I wish BB-8 came with a base that includes a name plate like the rest of the figures.

Been away from these forums for quite some time! Last forum i contributed to was the Man of Steel Superman one?? been looking forward to TFA for 3 years almost now and ive got to say i absolutely loved the film and more specifically REY!

So im over the moon that Hot Toys is releasing a Rey and BB-8 set, i thought i was out of the collecting game but some things never change, looking forward to following this thread!

I loved how she learnt so quick. She's this smart through the entire movie and you could genuiniely see the tug of war going on in the in the interrogation and how she applies it and shows how powerful she could get. I kinda get it could feel too fast for some, but I always saw heroes being that awesome and not like some whiny farm boy. In fact playing as kids I bet we imagined we were this smart, I sure did, and as parents we want our kids to be this smart anyway!

Even the duel was awesome. I think Kylo is still fresh too and the battle doesn't make the OT duels look dated like the PT did. I did want to see some trees fall though...

BB8 belongs to that pilot too. She needs the relic more than Groot needed a baby Groot though. The entire movie is about Luke's lightsaber,.. actually it's Anakin's.

I went into the film expecting to adore Rey and left the film over the moon about her.

I am so excited for her adventures to unfold throughout the new trilogy. I will definitely be picking this figure up and I hope they add in a bonus accessory before the figure ships.

Same here definitely at must have after seeing the movie glad though i didnt order phasm and kylo this was my 3rd choice out of three now its first figure
obviously seeing the film shes missing one crucial accessory at the moment

The beat-up old pilot helmet she wore for like ... 5 seconds in the film. It was a small moment but really filled out her era for me and had this old sci-fi vibe. Easy enough to customize, I guess.

For all those thinking that Rey "picked up" on the Force powers too quickly, remember... There was no safety buffer or step by step given to Luke when Ben begins to train him. He famously tossed him the sabre and said hey, this thing was your father's see what you think of it. Just a short while later he got him BLINDFOLDED and asked to defend against the Attacks of the remote. It's not about leaning a corse of study, it's about TRUSTING your feelings, FEELING the Force, ALLOWING it to GIUDE your actions and obey your commands.

Luke's issues, which were actually brilliantly brought out in ANH, were that he was too tied to the mundanities of his life, bogged down by his Uncle's philosophies and pragmatism to allow himself to "let go". Later, with the death of Owen and removal of all to which he was previously tethered, he swings in the opposite direction. His thirst for adventure, excitement (a Jedi craves not these things) similarly impede his deliverance to the nature of the Force to the point that Yoda fears he is untrainable. These personal elements within Luke are some of what makes him such a compelling character.

Now, flash forward to Rey. She is an absolute NATURAL. she is PATIENT in her meager situation on Jakku , putting up with a demeaning job and boss waiting for her family, she is CALM in the face of great danger, she is DESCIPLINED in all that she does and in the way that she's taught herself so many technical skills. With all of these qualities (and extreme hotness on top of it all), and the Force lineage that we'll soon see, the real wonder is that she's not already at MASTER level.

Keep in mind, there wasn't always a Jedi "Academy" at the top of a Jedi temple on Courasant. There had to have been Force sensitive individuals who came before who built all of that. I think Rey could be the new Chosen One with Luke as the new Yoda...

Just ordered too. I liked the likeness before but was waiting to see if I liked the movie/Rey's character. Yes to both!
