After watching the youtube review and sleeping on it I pulled the trigger.

Seriously even if they do blade one they be really hard pushed to make it better than this version.

They dint hit a home run with this one. When they hit the ball it freakin' exploded

Well, they could improve the headsculpt and lose the oversized sunglasses. I mean really, it's a great figure, but it really doesn't look like Wesley Snipes so much. They needed to move his whole face down starting at the eyes, to give him a longer forehead and to make his head longer and thinner. His nose is also off.

Still, great figure, I love it and just hope for another with a better head.

While I do like Blade 2 the movie, I absolutely love Blade 1.

But who's got time to wait for HT to made a Blade 1, i'll take my Blade figure now thank you very much!

I would make one awesome bad ass Blade or King Leonidas, the only thing holding me back is that I'm a fat pale and balding white dude with a bad back, knees and left ankle who also wears nerdy glasses!

Other than that, I AM Blade and King Leo

Well said, his likeness isn't there for me. The glasses do help although I will be ordering those custom smaller sunglasses from ebay, HT's are the size of real sunglasses

Was more talking about about his accessories and outfits. Agree the sculpt could be better buts it's pretty darn good.

I just for the Marcus Wright figure brand spanking new from Hastings and I was futzing the jacket, etc... that figure is just EPIC, and there's so much hate for the jacket.... To me it's amazing!!!

To me, you have to take a step back and realize that it's just a toy, sure HT will strive to bring us all lil lifelike people but at the end it's just a figure.

I try not to. I think it's reasonable in this case though. A better likeness of Blade does exist and it is the Marvel studios' one. True it has much softer details, yet it look's more like Wesley Snipes as Blade then the Hot Toys sculpt. Anyway, we've been threw this before. I just hope they get it right for the next version....if there is one.

I try not to. I think it's reasonable in this case though. A better likeness of Blade does exist and it is the Marvel studios' one. True it has much softer details, yet it look's more like Wesley Snipes as Blade then the Hot Toys sculpt. Anyway, we've been threw this before. I always expect some people to do that. I have right in front of me 5 Hot toys figures. DX Joker, DX Batman, Godfather, T-800 and Blade. All with perfect likenesses except the daywalker. Yet Blade is my favorite figure of the bunch, so go figure.

But it doesn't look like Wesley Snipes, man. That is not my fault and it isn't an attack of anyone or anything, it's simply a statement of fact. Hot Toys is the one that set the bar so high...blame them.

It does look good enough however and that's all that really matters. Again, I just hope for better on the next figure and I bet it will be.

Well do you want a cheap Marvel figure that has a passing resemblance (though I do not so as I think the Marvel one looks like Arseneo Hall) with limited accessories and minimal detail?

Or do you want something that captures the essence of the character from that movie, with all the cool stuff and looks super heroic?

As you may think that Marvel one is a better likeness but heroic looking it is not. And that's the name of the game here I think... iconic heroes.

I just feel you need to take more things into consideration when forming such a 'fact based' opinion!

Fixed the only thing I saw wrong with your statement.

I dunno... I think the likeness is great and overall it's a perfect representation on the character. To me it's also the best film that offers the coolest array of weapons and looks. I don't want Whistler or Abigail (well, I want her, but not in that way) or Hannibal King or anything else from the three films with the exception of one bad ass Blade figure, and this is it! Totally happy with it.

It is indeed a bad ass representation of Blade.

I do believe however that their Arnold and Gerard sculpts are more dead on when compared to their Wesley.

Still though, bottom line is simply this:

HT Blade 2 is a must own!

I can only imagine the greatness of a Blade 1 if they ever choose to release one.

Well do you want a cheap Marvel figure that has a passing resemblance (though I do not so as I think the Marvel one looks like Arseneo Hall) with limited accessories and minimal detail?

Or do you want something that captures the essence of the character from that movie, with all the cool stuff and looks super heroic?

As you may think that Marvel one is a better likeness but heroic looking it is not. And that's the name of the game here I think... iconic heroes.

I want a Blade movie figure not a Wesley Snipes figure!

I type something else and all you see is the "marvel figure is better" For one thing I'm talking head only. Nothing can beat HT's tailoring or weapons.

I didn't say that, I said it has softer details, ergo the hot toys figure has sharper details and is more life-like. Seeing as how the marvel head is a laser scan there is no denying that it's a better likeness...it's a laser scan of the the real man's face. Again for the confused it has much softer details, cheaper plastic and is inferior to the hot toys head in every way accept actual likeness. I can't be clearer.
