What if Berserker is like the Derelicte of HT Predators ??

In all seriousness though, I useually try not to flat out bash a figure based on pics of the proto but imho it is good thing to point out and critique the protos so that HT (or any company) can correct and/or perfect details and such especially since these toys arn't cheap. Just my 2 cents though.

No need to add the 'just my 2 cents' bit, you're absolutely right. Whats the use in finding problems with the 'final product' when its too late to persuade HT to make changes? Its simple logic.

Prototype stage is exactly the time to criticise. It shouldn't be dismissed as whining.

They would pay more attention to their Facebook page if anything.

If they wanted our opinions, they would release some decent high res photos of the prototype for that purpose.

I'm sure Hot Toys has a legion of people they trust to critique their final pieces, I doubt that they are hard pressed for opinion.

Hot Toys knows what it's doing, I trust them to make something as good as they are able, they are the best.

Everyone probably sees something different because of their monitors anyway.

But then what would be the point of showing off a proto then? If they're not gonna care about our opinions they might as well not even show off the protos to begin with and just announce they're making whatever figure and not bother showing the protos and just hope we'll like the final product enough to buy it. I'm sure HT has there own people who critique their figures too, but ultimately it's the potential customers opinion that matters and I'm sure HT knows it. I mean if HT didn't care about our opinion or listen to our critiques, then why not just re-use the V1 Joker head on the BR Joker instead of making a more accurate sculpt?

Here we go again.
Maybe it's not forums like this, but they do need our comments. They redid the mandibles and helmet, that's for sure. They also threw in a black shirt for the T-800 when many people wanted one. HT is not without its problems. They do put out amazing stuff, but don't let your loyalty or expectations keep you from expressing any issues you might see. Just because they've blown us away countless times doesn't mean we should swallow every new product they put out no matter how it looks.

Don't judge a product by the brand, judge it by itself.

We're not bashing anything; we're voicing our opinions in hopes of the figure being changed. So far, it HAS worked.

And for the record, we do have high-res pictures .

I think the small photos they release to there public are more about giving people a heads up and taste of what's coming soon.

Their pre-order process lets them know how popular an item will be.

I'm sure the people that work for and are friends of Hot Toys are the biggest fans around and understand what the majority of fans desire.

We wouldn't be buying their stuff if they didn't know what they were doing.

Well, they didn't know on Big Chap. And they were huge fans, you say? Granted, I own the figure and I like it, but it isn't what it could've been.
HT is awesome, but the fact that it's HT doesn't mean we should accept everything they do.

Maybe this isn't the case, but judging by your posts you like HT so much that you force yourself to like the things they've put out. Sorry if I'm wrong, but stop worshipping Hot Toys and focus your attention on the individual products they put out. A crappy figure is a crappy figure, regardless of who made it. Not saying Berserker is crappy at all; he's actually kick-ass. I'm using a generic example of course.

Even if you're an avid collector of their's, if you see something you want changed, don't hesitate to say it. Once again, they already changed the helmet and the mandibles on Berserker. Improvements can be made, as the thing won't be available until Q4 2010.

Just to be clear though, I preordered this badboy even before these new changes were made, back when he had brown armor. Loved him then, still do now.

Jeez, I remember that. The whole conspiracy theory about how the leaked script was wrong and how we didn't know a thing... and surprise! The movie was exactly as expected.

Gigerfan, I don't get what your game is. Maybe you're trying to make things up in the hopes of being right, just to gain a little credibility. Truth is, that's how you lose it. Because if you're wrong by a long shot when you start countless flame wars, people are less inclined to believe what you say.

Beserker is fine, indeed. He's in fact awesome IMO. But there's a reason why they made those changes. If it wasn't for people expressing their thoughts, we'd be stuck with the original prototype seen here:
