Box is "meh", but I like it more than the T2 packaging. At least it has a more futuristic/retro feel to it. My mind has officially been made: I want it. Hot damn, do I want it. Compared to the T2 T-800, this guy has a lot more to his design IMO. Great accessories and a much gnarlier wardrobe.

(and the back of his jacket... lordy, that's impressive tailoring)

Would this be your first HT Terminator? Or even your first HT human? You're mostly a monster collector am I right?

Cybernetic organism. :monkey3

With a hyper-alloy combat chassis....

Not really, yes, and yes. I had the HT John Connor and also a Chainsaw Killer, but couldn't really hold onto them. This guy, on the other hand, would look gorgeous between my T-700 and T-600. My HT Terminator shelf needs some more figs on it. Two isn't enough to fill the space, and what better way to do so than with one of HT's best figures ever?

Kinda makes you think... they've fumbled on quite a few releases this year, but this guy is perfect. Only things that would've been nice would be the gargoyles and a SPAS-12, but the quality and perfection of the figure makes up for that.

I thought the box looked extremely sleek. Hot Toys really knows about presentation.

Those would actually be out of place with this version of T1 T-800 though - he doesn't wear the gargoyles with this outfit nor does he use the SPAS-12 (or the 12 gauge autoloader shotgun) until he has changed into the grey vest and leather jacket. The shotgun provided with this figure is used only briefly in the film during the car chase after Tech Noir, its a police shotgun that was in the squad car he commandeers.

What this figure has and doesn't have has left the parameters for the next T1 T-800 quite clear:

2 headsculpts (one with neatly exposed endo-eye, one with messy battledamage from the final tankertruck chase)

Same trousers and boots but a new vest and the black leather jacket.

gargoyle sunglasses

gloved hands/ BD gloved hands

12 gauge autoloader, SPAS machine gun, pistol

possibly alternate worn/battledamaged version of this outfit

If the box is the only thing the over-analytical, tittybaby, self entitled "accuracy experts" have to _____ and moan about, I'd say this is a home run! :D

So who's going to be the first to make a video of this guy with Tahnee Cain's "Burnin' in the Third Degree" playing in the background?

The figure looks so elegant in that pose. Great sculpt too. What's the chances of this being in stock over the next few months?

Now there's a figure !.
One of the few in the past year I'm going to have a hard time waiting for that isn't custom. Can't wait for this one.
