T3 lacked that feel in the score that the other Terminator movies gave off prior, and its just not Terminator without Cameron running the show.

Stinking pile of dog manure?

Ah, now we're talking.

You don't think calling T2 a "family-friendly comedy" is a bit harsh though? Yeah, the "kinder, gentler, Terminator" approach is a far cry from the original bad ass T1 version but I don't think it ruins the tone of T2.

The T-1000 certainly makes up for Uncle Bob's "killing impotency" and getting your knee caps blown off and being paralyzed might just be worse than dying.

I don't know. I think The Terminator might be a superior film, I love it and it's certainly one of my favorites but I don't have a problem lumping T2 in there with it, which is also a favorite of mine. The only T2 moment with "friendly Terminator" that bothers me is "I need a vacation" it makes me gag every time.

I'm exaggerating things a bit, of course, but T2 definitely feels light to me. And the crowd-pleasing humor is there, as is the crowd-pleasing action. Seems to me that Cameron was going for a huge Hollywood blockbuster with that film, and when you are doing that, you can't really employ the tone of T1 IMO.

I do really like T2, but it feels to me like the films are from completely different franchises (and genres).

Yeah, I agree.

If you think about it though. There was really no where else to go in terms of a sequel. It was nice having those teasers that made it ambiguous as to whether the T-800 would return as a good guy or bad guy, but I think it was a given, judging by Arnold's stardom at that point that he'd play the role of protector.

I dig the concept seeing it's the only way the Arnold "Terminator" could really return and the new story Cameron created for Judgment Day is damn good.

The nice thing about The Terminator is that it can be seen as a stand alone film, as I'm sure it was originally intended (final battle ends tonight, in our present, infinite Skynet and John create each other with T-800 and Kyle Reese loophole). Damn I love that film.

With that said however, I love T2 for what it is too, a worthy sequel. It really expands on T1 instead of taking away from it, which is what T3 and Salvation did unfortunately.

The only disappointment I have with T2 is that it turned Terminator into a franchise and spawned ____ty films. I would have had no problem with just seeing and enjoying The Terminator and T2: Judgment Day.

I don't disagree with anything in your post, really. T1 is a kind of stand-alone film to me. As is T2 :lol I would enjoy both without the existence of the other. The other Terminator films are glorified fan fiction to me. I try not to think about them.

No more bull____ting. I just want my damn 1984 T-800 figures now. I wish Sideshow would have some how gotten theirs sooner.

____ers.

For the people that own this figure does the design pieces stay on pretty well when you take the jacket off?

Is anybody, who's bought just one figure, got any plans for their second head short of buying a second T-800 body? Is there's any decent cheap option out there? To buy a second outfit seems like it'd be cheap enough but the body seems certainly like it would be trouble. With the jacket though, the entire outfit, pretty much the whole body is covered but for the neck so I'm thinking there's possibly something that can be done with just a regular body or such if you're not wanting to spend too much money...

I haven't received my figure yet but online tracking says that maybe tomorrow, Monday, it'll be here.

I gave my chris redfield(stars) a new tt body, because with the rubberbody you can´t pose it like yo want.

now i have a muscle body left. this one I will use for a second t-800.

Stand T800 $9,99
Pants $18,50
Boots $23,50
Undervest $18,99
Jacket $28,50
Footpegs $8,99

=108 $

In germany that is ~ 82 €.
And that is cheap here. The t800 set is about 190 €. In USD 248.14 :gah:
