Would you guys recommend getting this or waiting for police shootout figure? As in, can it get any better than this one?

I say go for it. In the custom world, the police shootout figure is more common. I have one myself. The Tech Noir version hasn't been done as much and is more special if you are a fan of the original.

There is no guarantee that HT is going to do the police shoot out version.

-He looks more accurately proportioned when dressed
-the clothes are perfect, no futzing (or paperclips) necessary. Probably could have done with some dirtying up I guess
-The underlying body is improved, the joints are less obvious.
-2 headsculpts
-T1 at long last

To me, its absolutely no contest.
I was seriously considering selling all my HTs T2 figures once this guy arrived(but for various reasons though)
To me, I REALLY hate the look of the T2 from the side.
It really bugs me lol
I think he looks waay to wide and his his head just looks strange.
With the T1, he looks incredible from every angle.
I do have to admit to being biased towards T1, but that doesnt change the fact that I hate the side profile on my T2.
Thats my personal opinion anyway.

I happened to look at my old order status for the T2 T-800. That figure came to around 160 while this came to 190 and that was just back in May. That's some silly ass inflation.

That´s why I´m going to give my T2 Arnold this body for acurracy when you look at both and...the pants should fit better too since he´s a bit shorter then, right?!

Maybe its just mine because when I see other peoples T2s from the side, it looks perfectly normal.

He looks incredible from the front though so its all good!

And yeah, I really like your idea about skynet cloning dead family members.
Are you also considering the idea of the arm bands?
I dont know where I heard this idea from but I read that the resistance fighters would change the colour of their arm bands every day to tell themselves apart from terminators.
If a member of the resistance is wearing the wrong colour arm band for that day, then theyre most likely an infiltrator.

But you probably shouldnt listen to me as im very biased to T1 and im very picky about small details.
If youre more of a T2 fan and prefer a "cool" looking terminator then obviously you will most likely prefer the T2.
I prefer a menacing looking terminator though, and this "punk outfit" version will always be the most menacing of all IMO.
(Unless the figure came with this crazy smirking headsculpt LOL!)

He salvages bodies, skins them, puts it on Terminators and heals the skin.

Haha I remember someone was trying to justify why he was smiling. It was clearly a joke refering to the MJ controversy

Anyway, mine arrived today off of the bay and first impressions are really good the head sculpt is amazing and the costume is nearly perfect. It needs to be more grubby. As for vs terminator 2 t 800 its different. The expression is so pissed off and angry whereas t2 headsculpt is very plain "I am a machine and have no emotion". A lot has to do with the glasses and all the emotion in the eyes. Without the glasses t1looks a lot more like Arnold.

I agree with everything you said, my friend.
1] T1s outfit does need to be made more grubby(it looked slightly dirty and oily in the movie) so thats what im going to do.
I ordered an extra costume from ebay and Im going to weather them and dirty it up ever so slightly.
2] A lot DOES have to do with the glasses.
Its why I prefer this look over the T1 Police station shoot out and the T2...they both are wearing glasses which takes away from the scary look and makes them look more "cool" or very plain "I am a machine and have no emotion" as you said...which is fine also but I prefer the mean look.
I also believe the big M45 field jacket adds more to the menacing look.
