could you please teach me how to make those 2 stripes uniting the mags :)
i cannot imagine anything to make it look like tape.

I used real electrical tape for mine -

Just cut two 4cm strips from it measuring 4mm wide using a ruler and xacto knife.
Be sure to have superglued the two magazines together first though.

NOTE - I cut the strips too thin in the pics above(I cut them to 3mm instead of 4mm) so thats why I had to overlap off track.

Why not use thin strips of real black tape? Thats what I'm gonna do when I get around to it.

Yep, real black tape works great.
I literally just done this mod again myself. Only took a minute to do.
I did it a few years back too, but I sold the gun to a friend. It was better than this because I painted the mags dark grey and weathered them etc etc.
I'll be doing the same again with this one.

Ok got a reply in japanese.
My friend translated it.
The AR18 T1 version was indeed a limited run , he sold most of them back in February at the Wondercon festival. Sadly no plans of doing more.
He might have still a kit or two (unassembled, unpainted) he's gonna look into it and get back to me. The kit is 5000 yens + EMS 1500 yens.
Payment by wire transfert in Japan, so i will have to ask a friend living there to pay for it.
I'll wait for his answer and probably take the kit if he founds it.

Let us know if you hear anything. Im down for an unpainted/unassembled kit.

Yep, the right tape and cutting it precisely to the correct width creates a very realistic effect. Nice job! :clap

thanks for the explanations :)
BTW TFG, those 2-layer stripes look very natural i think, though you said you just tried to make the first layer wider.
important note about glueing the mags together. didn't even come to my brains.

No problem P. Glad I could help you, my friend! :)
Yeah, the off -track stripes do look natural now that you mention it.
I think I might leave them like that now. I still need to repaint the mags and add some slight weathering though.

Xenoviper with Feng's blessing.

I have it and the only problem I see in it - the size.

:exactly::exactly::exactly::goodpost:

I think its perfect but the size is a little too big compared to HTs latest figures. It fits in perfect next to the 1st HT releases like Kyle Reese and the 1st HTs T800 though.
The accuracy and likeness is absolutely dead on!
Wish I never sold mine actually.:monkey2

This is still my favourite BD head, sorry forgot the guys name!

Coincidentally I just bought a T1 BD custom off Addicted-to-collecting with what looks like that particular headsculpt - I wasn't sure what sculpt it was exactly but now I know. Hmmm, pity its apparently a little on the big side.

Still, love the weathering on the clothes.

Actualy it looks more like Adam's (aka Imaresqd1) old sculpt...

UPD
Yes it is. And LOL I remembered that this one was made by Elvis - link to some pics.
