Dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That bike is fkn badasssssssss . Where the hell did you get it? :panic::panic::panic:

I got the cb750 FOUR and BMW kit from evil bay. Took about 20 hours to put together, paint and weather. Its funny because this motorcycle is a shadow of the harley FLSTF in T2. It couldn't keep up with the smoke from the harley's tailpipe. LoL!:wave

Excellent job, its a beaut....despite as you say being actually a pretty inferior bike to the T2 Harley.

Is putting together one of these a job for a model-building expert or could a total amateur pull it off? I was lucky to get a fully assembled and painted Tamiya Harley fatboy, I probably wouldn't be so lucky again for this T1 bike.

And you mentioned 'flashing' - what is that, to those unfamiliar with motorbike terms?* he says tentatively, hoping it isn't something that everyone and his auntie knows

The flashing is the front protective shield and frame piece on the bike. My guess is that Arnold or his agent requested this be placed on the bike for safety. The CB FOUR did not come with a flashing. However that was a pretty common shield for bikes and was a universal piece in the mid-70's.

The model wasn't overly difficult to put together. But it is a ton of small pieces. You need a glue needle and tweezers. They are a MUST. The most difficult part was getting the chain and exhaust on and mounted with a reverse bolt and screw to the frame.

Well congrats. You are indeed to my knowledge the first on this forum to get a T1 bike up and running.

I may try for one myself in the future. Just its a big enough chunk of change to throw down when you're not certain you have the capability to build it and paint it.

For now I'm just working on the figures.

that's just... WOW!
i never was eager to get that bike as its front part missed that shield. but now as i see that another bike can be taken for that...
well i must think about it from the beginning )
the capability to build it and paint it.
does tamiya need painting?

I must admit when I got my 1:6 Testors Harley kit I thought, I might not be able to build this, but the instructions where very easy to follow, step by step. Very rewarding once you compleate it.
I so want to make the Honda by hokietwo now from T1. Looks like he did a great job combining the two Tamiya bikes.

Shells is right, the key is taking your time and be patient with the kit. When you open the box, a chill will go down your back from all the little parts. BUT, the instructions are very detailed and if you don't rush and get good paint techniques on the pieces as you build it, you'll have success.

Love the Endo hokietwo on the bike, looks like you got the same Gargoyles as me from commando, is it just Terminator figs you collect ?

Thanks man! I am trying to collect 3 lines, terminator, iron man and batman. I stray for pieces I like. Getting more disciplined lately, trying to stream the collection. You can go down the rabbit hole so fast in this hobby.

Doesn't it? Are you not having to paint parts of your Fatboy?

Thats the other off-putting factor. Having to buy 2 bikes to complete it for T1.

2 questions if you don't mind - Do the instructions come in English? How much of the parts need to be painted?

The instructions are 2 sets. (1) English (2) Japanese

You really need to paint every single part. I painted everything down to the clutch for the bike. If you do not, it will literally look like a plasic toy. In person, the bike looks real. The secret to modeling is paint apps. I used a airbrush for my work and spray paint. Buy good brushes for detail work. The instructions tell you what tamiya paints to purchase. Do It! They are really lifelike colors and shine on the bike (details like the chain, frame work, battery, oil tank etc.)

Here's a copy of the instruction sheet so you can see it. As the instructions show, every detail is constructed in the model. It has working shocks and wheels! Sorry for the paint mess.....Hope this helps.
