The instructions are 2 sets. (1) English (2) Japanese

You really need to paint every single part. I painted everything down to the clutch for the bike. If you do not, it will literally look like a plasic toy. In person, the bike looks real. The secret to modeling is paint apps. I used a airbrush for my work and spray paint. Buy good brushes for detail work. The instructions tell you what tamiya paints to purchase. Do It! They are really lifelike colors and shine on the bike (details like the chain, frame work, battery, oil tank etc.)

Here's a copy of the instruction sheet so you can see it. As the instructions show, every detail is constructed in the model. It has working shocks and wheels! Sorry for the paint mess.....Hope this helps.

Thanks for going to this trouble. :duff

I can't get one right now, but I'm saving your posts on the subject for possible future referance. I'd love to have all the Terminator motorcycles. I have the Tamiya T2 Fatboy but would also love this T1 bike and the T-1000's police bike. Presumably Hot Toys will never be able to make them for us.

Doesn't it? Are you not having to paint parts of your Fatboy?
i won't paint any! well except those two parts that your bike has green )
i suck at painting as much as you claim to - or more )
stock bike may look like a toy, but after my painting it will look like feces!

:lol

The paint worries me maybe even more than the assembly. I thought all you had to paint was the smooth shell coverings (I'm sure theres a proper and obvious name for them that isn't coming to my mind) where the decals go on etc. To learn that just about every part needs painting is a bit of a bummer to me.

Hows your Fatboy coming along by the way?

it is unassembled due to no special glue in one and only model shop in my town. i have to wait another week until they deliver it.
and yes i don't paint almost anything on it except turning it from blue plastic to black metal-shining surface )
you know how people here have to deal with inaccuracies because they don't get anything else - same goes for me when about painting. i envy people who can give real-like view to toys by using paint. i can't even a little. i'm more into engineering moving parts. remember my T1 deskinned arm )

I am currently in the process of modding an M16 to make it look more like the infamous AR-18.

What I started with:

Gun in the movie:

After my mod:

Still got to fit the extra magazine and touch it up some more etc.

Awesome jobs Shells. I think you made it look like an AR-18 the best you can and it looks dam good imo. It should do the job perfectly for PS Arnie, until the real deal from HT finally makes an appearance... :clap:clap:clap

Yeah thats pretty good Shells, passes quite well.

Funny that at some point before tracking them down to that motel he puts a shoulder strap on the AR-18, its definitely not there during the Police Station shootout.

it's not there because he didn't need it (driving a car / using 2 guns simultaneously).
when he goes to motel, he uses a bike and holds his rifle by that strap.
isn't he?

well... actually it doesn't look convenient. there is no use in a strap if you still have to use one hand for it.

========

funny thing is that that strap appears once in police scene :)

I think a-dev means its a continuity thing ? As the motel scene comes after the PS shootout.

Yeah I gave up waiting for an AR-18 to come up on ebay hence the reason for my mod.

That guy across from Arnie must be 5'5". :lol

**** Miller. He appeared in a lot of stuff I grew up watching. Gremlins 1 & 2 , small soldiers , night of the creeps , the little shop of horrors , chopping mall , the tales from the crypt movie and even from your sig a deleted scene in pulp fiction.

84 years of age.

Wow...this is the best recreation of this scene that I've seen!
Whole reason to buy this set.
All the little trinkets really add to the effect.
Bravo sir.

Sorry guys I did not mean taller, Just a tad thicker in muscle. It may be some scenes were not shot in order(watch Predator) First seen where he is naked and steals the clothes, he seems a lot bigger in muscle than the t1 body, but later scenes slimmer. The gun shop guys is in a LOT of movies and I think his bit parts got him a lot of work.
