Con exclusive wouldn't make much sense to me, considering it is one of the "character's" two most iconic looks (that plus biker version from T2). The fact that HT did two DX Termies recently, has a 1/4 scale and 1/6 scale Endo in the works, and plans on doing a 1/4 scale version of this exact character is the writing on the wall.

Every time I see great pictures of shoot-out customs, such as shells075's and everyone else's here, I always hope HT would actually make an official one. Putting together customs is an expensive business, especially in the UK where prices are generally higher than in the US or Hong Kong, and parts are in shorter supply.

I wouldn't think it would take much for HT to put one together. They already have a sculpt they can tweak...and boots!

Well good sir, you may be in luck as HT are set to release a 1:4 police shootout version this year :)

:lol I hope and have faith that the final headsculpt will be better than that. It always looked more like T2 than T1...and in fact looked suspiciously like the MMS117 head.

:lol Yeah, I'd bet its just that, same sculpt with a little photoshop magic... as you say, hopefully the final product will actually capture his likness at that stage in the film.

Have to stay focussed on the target: 1/6 !

1/4 scale are probably very impressive, but for me 1/6 is the perfect balance of detail and size.

It may have something to do with growing up with Palitoy's 12" Action Man (aka Hasbro's GI Joe), which eventually lead to Dragon and BBI military figures, then Sideshow, and ultimately to Hot Toys (and ACI's gladiators).

I can't help myself. I'm just a 1/6 junky in constant need of a fix!

Burnt hair MMS136 is a great T1 look, but the shoot-out would be my top pick.

:lecture

Much as I'm enjoying 1:4 and maintain that the EB T2 Battle-Damage T-800 is one of the best collectibles ever made - 1:6 remains more fun and with HT you still get astonishing detail even if this 'soft-sculpt' lark of late has been a little bit of a step back.

I do see where you guys are coming from. I can't see myself collecting much more 1:4 figures as it's rough on the display space as well as the wallet.

I reckon after the T1 police shootout, the endo and T1000 in 1:4... and probably Enterbay's eventual Robocop release, then I'll be out

I do keep telling myself that!

Dunno if you read my post in the EB BD T-800 thread but I see a problem with these 1:4 scale figures as 'Action figures' - because of their expense and because spare parts cannot be found as readily as those of 1:6 - you can't really treat them as Action Figures. If they break it is a disaster...unless you're absolutely loaded and can just buy another one for whatever price they're going for at that time.

*All I've done with my EB T-800 (the first one) is change his clothes, swap his arm etc etc* - all things that it is expected you do with the figure - but in doing all that I feel like I have devalued it and put stresses on the figure that one day will lead to it breaking. If and when that happens what will I be able to do? I don't know.

This is why 1:6 wins as the classic all-rounder.

*actually I forgot, I've also taken the head off and in doing so caused paint rubs on the neck and I've opened up the head to see if I could do anything to mod the hair (my biggest complaint about that first Enterbay sculpt)

Wholly agree dude, I did indeed see your post before and you're right about the cheaply made bodies. The accessories/clothing is up to scratch but they seem to cut corners at that part.

The simple process of changing the figures pose or swapping out clothing seems to require a kind of surgical care. Loosened joints and overall worry of breakage is too much to bare with the money we've investing in these.

Bill needs to address this sooner rather than later as the bad word of mouth will only hurt them in the long haul. Customer satisfaction should be there top priority, not the all mighty dollar.

AT first glance I thought you were talking about the MMS bodies, I got one from the secondary market to build a custom and had it for years before finally traded it off, only for the next guy to see that it had been broken and glued back on somehow. I never noticed much wrong with it but he said it was falling to piece, I guess he was just trying to do more with it then me, but I never thought they were cheaply made.

The MMS117 body's weak point seems to be that midsection torso joint. At least in my experience. It tended to get loose and wobbly. The 136 body seemed to improve this and now the DX10 one I've found to be really solid. So far I trust it completely and, despite my hatred of the neck, I'm intent on replacing any MMS117 body with it. Also for the more accurate size and shape.

Well, if they don't....and to be honest probably even if they do, my intention now is to buy each Terminator release, set it up in the look thats most important to me and just leave it. I'll ''play'' with my Hot Toys and NECA figures.

I'm happy with the clean enterbay t-800 and still want the hot toys 1/4 endo and thats it atm. I have always been and likely will always prefer 1/6 as many others stated its just the right size for many reasons.

As far as the soft sculpt deal, I only see it in a few select figures, mainly the dx line. I am growing to personally dislike the dx line, I relativly satisfied with the dx10, however the long I own it the more I hate the pers function.

I'm wonder how much better the figure would be without it, I look at the continuing line of mms figures like snake from mgs or the new mms bane and say wow, those head sculpts are kick F'ing @$$, and when I look at the dx10 I think yeah the face sculpt is more acturate but is kinda ruined by the pers, those thick eye lids and the unsitely seam on the back of the head:monkey4

I look at the dx12 batman and see the pers cowled batman head and it looks kinda lame compared to the soild sculpted wayne head.

To me MMS>DX

I just read ur Post "The Skull" and I aint been Coolecting these things long at all,
but this was my First Arny T-800 Figure & I am very happy with him..

I did buy the T-800 with Arny carrying the Box of Roses as I thought the Sculpting on his face was far superior to that of the DX range , the 1 where he got that mini gun, ect, ect..

so I missed that & went straight for the Pre-Order of the Battle damaged DX 13 instead , as I really didnt like that DX10 at all :(

but like I say, the T-800 where he still wearing the Leathers in judgement Day, with the Box of Roses & the Shotty, I thought that the Head Sculpting on him was way better than the DX10 Arny with Leathers ??

TC ??

Picked up a second figure off a fellow board member which I'm hoping to do an arm repair scene with once I get my DX11 table and chair.

FYI - If anyone is interested in the extra parts from my second figure, shoot me a PM. I may be listing them FS in the near future.

Hell Jeah Jimmy , congrats man :clap:clap:panic::panic:.

I think i may still have the little accessories i made and had when i displayed my Ahhhnuld in the chair doing that scene.

i must warn you that those table and chair are too short for him.
my set was made of table and two chairs. i had to use one of the chairs to lengthen table legs / put the second chair bottom on the chair.

Well done, good move. The BD arm display is just too cool not to use. And yet you also don't want to go without a Tech Noir look.

Personally I just settled for the less bent legs and his feet resting on his heels. Nevertheless I love seeing your T1 set-ups. What are your plans if/when HT makes the offical Police Shootout and Tanker Truck figure(s)?

this picture from Terminator Fan Game attempt to give us all a proper table shows that the table was high and legs were fully bent. plus i didn't like what he looked like with straight legs )

i don't think that i'll make any setups for the variants you named. the eye-cut figure will need its sink with an eye in it (i broke ofe of my DX10 heads and plan to take an eye from it) and with glasses in hand, the truck figure will need a left leg replacement from DX13 if HT doesn't include it (i swear i've seen metal blinking knee while T1 was flying under the truck. i've also clearly seen and have made some shots of a bright-green mannequin instead of terminator, but that's not what i want to set up :D), but police massacre seems to be a complete figure itself. i'll just use all the gun shells (for SPAS & AR) one day when i find a way for them to stay on the stand, but that won't be visible on photos.

P. - Did you use the DX11 table??
yes it was a set of 2 chairs and 1 table with a lamp. i bought it a year ago or more. i know that later sellers divided that set for unknown reasons and are selling everything separaterly today.
why did you ask? :)

I ask because I will be using the DX11 table for mine and if that's what you used for yours then I already know it won't work like I wanted to. If that's the case I will just make a PS :lol
