He was a pain in the arse to dress as I remember. You'd button up his pants and do up his belt only to realise you hadn't tucked in his shirt yet and the pants were too tight without opening them again.

That is exactly why the shirt is out. I didn't want to futz with him anymore and just left it. :monkey3

:lecture I would rather see John Matrix first. :panic:

Honestly, Matrix and Dutch are kind of similar. From clothing and hair cut, to weapons. I'd jump for joy at a Conan figure, but that's my personal choice. Also, Harry Tasker...C'mon Arnold in the Tux???

As for dutch being a 1/4, I thought Chan said they were going to "Revisit" Dutch in the future. Too me that's making a new scaled figure, where as making a 2.0 would be revisiting.

I really like the likeness, and would love to pick this up at some point, but if we're being bold. In some pictures his face looks plastic unlike some figures with paint apps that make them look more natural.. Maybe it's the skin texture?? Still a great figure.

The stubble detail was good but yeah I just don't think he looks very lifelike anymore compared to some of the stuff they've done since. And the square-face thing I mentioned earlier started with Dutch. Its kind of all I see when I look at that sculpt.

I have been picking up those neca figures piece by piece, I just got the muddy version yesterday and Have to agree those are some awesome figures, its amazing how well they captured the likeness on such a small figure, the detail on that muddy version is incredible, I wish they would make these in 12" size again like they did with the T2 line, they would have a greater display presents.

I still have one more to hunt down, the shirtless version:panic:

Yeah they're great figures and some of the best quality I've seen from NECA in my years of collecting them. Not perfect but not completely embarrassing thank god. Do get the shirtless Dutch from the 'cheese' scene, he's actually my favourite. Everyone else seems to prefer the 'shooting in all directions' Dutch where he's still wearing the camo-vest - and that's the version they're doing at 1:4 scale. Not sure I'll get that, I'll wait to see what it ends up looking like.

A Commando figure would be way better than another Dutch and that's the truth. More Weapons, different face camo, & outfit. Sign me up for a Matrix please. :lol

I did not know they were making him in 1/4 scale, but that makes sence seeing as there starting to jump into that size a lot lately. I must admit though that when they blow up a 7 inch action figure to 1/4 scale size the joints become a big eye sore:monkey4

That aside I would likely buy one just because:lol

I love NECA. I have a couple of Dutch figures. I want to get a few of the Terminator ones. They do indeed provide a character fix. I still need to get a muddy dutch.

In terms of likeness, I think the top 3 HT Arnold sculpts are -
1] DX10
2] Tech Noir long hair
3] Dutch

The paint really lets dutch down though.
And like aDev said, the squished-face started with Dutch.
I would love for them to go back and update their dutch and T1 figures again, to make their sculpts look more like the DX10 head, but it probably wont ever happen for the T1.
Dutch is likely though, and I think HTs would be mad not to make a muddy Dutch version at some point.

Ok, so it's not me when I thought the paint looks unnatural on Dutch.
The Sculpt does look good on dx10, I just hate the PERS. There a photos floating around of the dx10, and I'm guessing it's without the pers put in cause they looks amazing.

That looks amazing. Nothing like my figure I have now. Also I do notice now the longer face.

That was the initial prototype of DX10...which no one liked :lol And I'm sure it would have had PERS, just PERS tends to suffer in mass production.

Nobody liked that? Ok, well I guess...Ok I'm speechless, or wordless.

They need to figure out a better way to mass produce PERS then.

Yeah. At the time I was just happy to see a new Terminator figure when it was starting to appear as if HT had just inexplicably decided it wasn't worth their while making them anymore. Everyone else was focussed on 'why isn't it a BD?' and 'my god that sculpt is awful'. And then once I got over the excitement of seeing a new Terminator figure I had to agree, it wasn't a great effort, to me it seemed to be the same square face and he had what looked like a mini mullet on the back of his head (you can just see it below his ear). The sculpt we got still kinda has that with the way the hair tucks under his ears.

But yeah the sculpt we now have is nothing like that prototype. I suspect DX13 will look the same as the prototype pics - hopefully with more accurate BD - and hopefully the PERS won't suffer too much.

We will know soon enough. I'm more excited about the second head with the red light-up eye.

And talking of muddy Dutch, here's my WIP version that I started in January but have been busy on other things lately so its been on the back burner.
I'll probably be switchin the body with my T1 Arm surgery body at a later date, and modding the hair to look like the HTs Dutch head. Im also making a nice jungle diorama to go with it -
