Yeah, I ended up buying a full custom figure, largely just for the guns. Cheapest AR18 I saw on eBay by itself was around $60.

It would and I'm sure they know that. Trouble is they also know it will sell incredibly well 'whenever' so they're in no rush. ****ers.

Really, I feel I've waited long enough, which is why I'm finally going this route. At the end of the day, my custom will run me probably $350 or so. An official HT version would run about $300 if it were a DX anyway (albeit with more features), $225-250 on the low end if it is a "bare bones" type release. So that's a small price to pay to have a great custom on the shelf for the next 2 or 3 years before HT decides 1) to release it; 2) actively solicits it; and 3) produces and ships the damn things. And even then, will the new product beat my custom? Wouldn't shock me if it didn't!

It's like my Back to the Future Marty figure. I've already had it for a couple of years, and love it. Others are just waiting for Hot Toys. Like a-dev says though, there is no rush, so they just keep on dragging their feet. If it happens at all, it probably won't be until 2016 or so.

Yup.
I only started work on my custom about 2 months ago. Got tired of waiting.
I know it will come one day, but my Terminator collection needed a PS version NAOW!

This is as far as I got with mine, I think I need to change the pants at some point. I started the bash about 2 years ago and upgraded it earlier this year from the KP body to the ttm20 and changed some other parts. Its just about finished pending me taping on the extra clip to the make shift ar18.

I didnt need to because Im using the DX T2 head. I might need to trim them when I re-sculpt his hair though. I'll make make little holes for the arms to go in like on Enterbays Scarface.

Just goes to show how young HT made the sculpt look for the DX10. You can make a convincing PS shootout with that sculpt.
