Looks pretty amazing to me. It's really too bad HT couldn't get Depp's likeness for Edward Scissorhands.

That's what I thought as soon as I saw this one. That is really the most iconic Depp character after Sparrow to me, so it is too bad that HT has already gone to that well before they had likeness rights (my guess is that they probably won't go back again).

Theyve gone and revisited other characters in the past. And have made multiple Iron Man figures. I believe that if HT believes they can up a previous release, they very well will. And HT seem very excited about this "Johnny Depp line", so I could see HT doing an updated Edward, maybe with the civilian wardrobe. And Maybe even as a DX. I say never say never with this company.

Anything is possible and to Hot Toys, its all about the $$$$

Fingers crossed for a John Dillinger !!!!!

I loved Public Enemies. Figures of Depp and Bale from that film would have been far more interesting if you ask me. Oh well.

And as far as Burton's work goes, you guys think we'll ever see a HT Beetlejuice?

I'd expect John Dillinger as a release very soon. I don't think we will ever see a HT Beetlejuice unfortunately, I don't think the fanbase is that big...but that is just my assumption, maybe there is a huge cult following?

I wished they revealed the 89 Batman instead of this crap :Flush:dump

Terrific. Another Depp.

Where's Batman and Superman?!

HT released a "note" on their FB page regarding '89 Bats so maybe this will help with the whiners about Batman

From HTs Facebook today:

"After we had interviews with Mr Stallone and Mr Dolph Lundgren on The Expendables: Barney Ross collectible figure, this time we have another great actor Mr Naoto TAKENAKA (竹中直人) from Japan, talking about his love of movies & collectibles.
_
Mr TAKENAKA said his first Hot Toys collectible figure was the Dark Knight Joker and he was very impressed by all the details, clothes and accessories; and this was like a dream version to him! Besides the Dark Knight series, he also collects Michael Jackson figures, and is longing for the upcoming Bruce Lee figures too!
_
Besides, he is also a big fan of Scarlett Johansson and Tim Burton! So not only Mr TAKENAKA, but we believe that all of our fans will also be expecting our Sweeney Todd & Batman (1989) collectible figures to be coming up soon!"

There's potential if they consider a DX. But other than that, I'd say no.

I think the only other Depp figure I'd buy is Ichabod Crane. I doubt they'll do Dillinger since it's just a guy in a suit.

I doubt they will do Ichabod Crane because he is just a guy in an old fashioned suit haha :nana:

I'd guess Disney would want them to capitalize on their Depp connection and go with the Mad Hatter next, if we are guessing next figures already. :dunno

Mad Hatter would be perfect with their 'chair' theme which they said they were doing more of....Mad Hatter sitting at his table with teapots and whatnot.
