I can't seem to make my figures arm go 90 degrees like the instructions say it can.

It is really stiff... I feel like I will break it.

Anyone have the same problem? If so, any solutions?

I did. There doesnt seem to be a way to fix it. It was one of the few things that frustrated me with this figure. Im still trying to replace it with the avengers captain america.

I did try a search but couldn't drilll down far enough to find what I wanted. I'm stuck on a) attaching the shield the S hook and, b) undoing his belt. I am partially sighted and the included instruction is just too tiny!!

He's my first HT and I bloody love him!

That s hook is attached to the back of his costume, and then you have to try and slide the shield over it...
You can do it with perhaps a nailfile to put under the s hook, to help keep it out from the body till you hook the shield onto it.
As for the belt, the buckle is glued together with CA.
You can get it apart. But it's tough.
I have done it with a couple of belts(Just to feed the belt though the loops on the costume).

On a different subject, but Cap related, i finally got my Rescue Cap today.
My Cap lineup is nearly complete!

That line up is astounding! And thanks for the tips. His shield straps are a tad unflexible so I was wary of damage. Meanwhile the leg strap of his hip holster arrived damaged and I was going to remove the holster without damaging that further too. Oh well, it'll have to go!

Thanks.
I know what you mean with the holster. I had to fix that too.
If you carefully flex the "leather" on the long piece that drops from the belt to the holster where it attaches to the metal clip just above the gun, you can remove the holster without touching the belt. Then just slide it down his leg and remove that way.

Thanks guys, it's nowhere near PS though. It's one lamp and some sunlight. The camera is set to vivid. I use Windows Gallery Live to edit and whilst I warmed up the colour a bit I actually turned saturation down! But he does benefit from appearing more vibrant!

My Cap shield has inexplicably started peeling.
There has been no hot/cold problems, and it's been in a Detolf since i got it. The bizarre thing is that the glass around Cap's feet is littered with little clear red flakes that have literally just fallen off on their own.
It *looks* like the same clear red they use to paint the IM suits.
Perhaps it's the issue of the shield being electroplated before painting.
In any case, i took the acetone to the paint today and got rid of it.
My intentions were to repaint it, but i actually like it in chrome. After getting all the paint off, i used brasso and then used my dremel to polish it up.
It's also hard to photograph...
Here are some pics:

I like the chrome look too. In fact, you did such a nice job on it that I can actually see your bedroom in the reflection. :wink1: :lol

Haha. I took the earlier images at work today for the before/after images when i was doing the shield and the Black Widow upgrades(See the Widow thread). But i didn't have Cap with me for the pics of him holding it.

Looks pretty cool. Would look awesome with a Steve Rogers in Dress Uniform from the scene where he was checking out the prototypes.

The problem with that is that HT moulded on the Star shape. It should only be painted on...
I have considered filling in the star shape and repainting for a more accurate look.
