What if during the entire time during the movie we don't see Evans face without the mask while wearing the outfit? Makes total sense to not add something like a non-masked sculpt with it.

I think these images would defy that idea:

I mean it's a movie and we know how hollywood movies go, no matter WHO the superhero is, or who the actor is, if they wear a mask, they still get face time, and even in the suit they get face time, whether your michael keaton and you just rip your mask off, or your nicholas cage and you randomly transform back to normal due to unnatural spouts of sunlight, or spider-man getting your mask conveniently damaged to the point that it has to come off etc etc.

So obviously evans will take off his mask, which is clearly designed as a strapped helmet and therefore really easy to toss off for a big final showdown...

This figure should come with an alternate head, or at least be designed to have the mask removed and an alternate hair piece added on, it's clear the mask is a separate piece, that's how hot toys does things anyway so just go that extra bit and make it removable.

Just like OC and TDK Batman, they both came with unmasked heads and both sold very well. Same as for the Iron Man that came with the heads. Hot Toys can make 2 different unmasked head. Battle damaged, stern look, battle marked face, etc. Then they can throw in a class A uniform to even bring it up a notch

I doubt there won't be a scene without the mask. Most likely the final battle will be unmasked.

Reminds me of the spidey trilogy. Man even hardly ever kept the mask on, every film someone sees his face, so much for secret identity.

I hope the ASM movie keeps his mask om as spider-man the whole time.

They're obviously saving the unmasked sculpt for the USO version. So if you want the unmasked look with the Hero costume you need to get both (Or wait till its parted out) This is what they always do.

As is shown below obviously there is one.

Hot Toys are not saints and they are not going for screen accuracy. The unmasked head will be included in another version simple as that.

Did I say they were saints? Thats not in my post. I was just tossing something out there as far as dealings within the movie. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Honestly, I'm glad they didn't give us one with this figure. It would do like the other sculpts like this sit in a bag with the extras. Give it to me on the USO outfit figure so I can actually display it.

Does anyone think it's a conflict of interest, that Evans is playing another Marvel character, nobody has done that yet, didn't marvel and Hollywood think about his role as Johnny storm ( the human torch) in the ff movies, anyone think that's odd.

I don't get all the optimism. The answer is pretty obvious....we will not get an unmasked sculpt. If there was Hot Toys would have done one of those blurred out pics. It isn't going to happen until the Cap's next outfit.

I heard they're rebooting the Fantastic Four movie franchise so no more conflict there, I think.

That's exactly how I feel. We got an awesome first figure for $170 shipped. It isn't going to better than that.

It is absolutely going to happen that we get an Evans sculpt with the USO version. Just patience. Enjoy the figure we have been given and the sculpt will come

That's right. Evans has signed a deal for the next 5 Captain America/ Avengers films.

I like the masked version. Capt America just wouldn't look as iconic without it IMO.

Also got my order in. Even the UK has him cheap <£150 at OSB.

While I would love to get a unmasked head and possibly extra attire I just cant see it happening due to HT being a business.
Has to be better business sense making people buy multiple items to get the "full set" and guaranteeing some return buyers rather than selling them one complete set.
After the Predators line issues, HT seems to be able to sell out anything no matter the little problems and complaints from fans.
We can complain and get small adjustments but it seems they are far and few between.

Generally on a new licence do they go all out on the first release and give anything and everything ?. Is there any real chance or is it just the fans wanting more ?.

I pre ordered as well. Now hoping that Red Skull is announced soon. That'd be great and I'm sure they'd complement each other pretty nicely. Since we're dreaming for Red Skull I'd be thrilled if he had the cosmic cube and an alternate Hugo Weaving likeness.
