What I'm really hoping for is the announcement of more SP girls :lecture

Same here, i want more new characters and franchises than the same types again and again.... and again.

Anything from MGS, X-Men First Class, Star Wars, Green Lantern would be original characters and figures (not made by HT before!!!!!!)

I wouldn't care if Sucker Punch, X-Men, Green Lantern, Avatar and Tron were cancelled or stopped entirely. They missed the boat there. I'm curious as to why they pursued those licenses in the first place.

They missed the boat with Batman 1989 by a MUCH bigger margin, yet i bet you're not complaining about that gap from film to figure release :lecture

You may not like them, which is fine. Doesn't mean others have to miss out on licenses they like cos of you don't want them, talk about selfish. Also every single figure in those licenses is ORIGINAL, not a remake not a different version completely new, which adds variety to HT customers and their product catalogue.

Yeah but classic films, along with military figures have always been Hot Toys' "thing" since they started as a company. Batman '89 fits that bill, modern stuff does not.

I don't think I've ever been upset or hurt when Hot Toys doesn't produce/release something I'd very much like to own. I was one of those that patiently waited for Rorschach and we all know how that turned out. You don't see me complaining to Hot Toys about making it instead of the thousandth Iron Man figure. I'd love Elias, Kyle Reese and a host of others as well that aren't "Batman" but you don't see me in discomfort.

I'm at a point in my collecting career that I'm actually GLAD when Hot Toys doesn't make things that I'm interested in.

I think their product portfolio is already impressive. They don't need to make a name for themselves anymore. I think they're at that stage where business/$$$ outweigh obscure licenses/characters.

The problem is that Nova still think that SP will become "classic" :lol

Did i say that :nana:

____

Some need to not be selfish and wish that multiple licenses should be killed cos it's not their cup of tea, others want them.

Don't like it don't buy it but don't say it's not worth doing at all, thats selfish and bad for the hobby

:rotfl

Oh knowing HT, it will be November before these girls come out :(

:lecture probably :lol

I wonder if there is a minimum preorder quota that a figure has to meet before HT decides to release it...as in if its profitable for them to even release the figure...perhaps Babydoll hasn't met that yet...:dunno

That's not a bad theory actually....

Honestly, from the start I think these characters were always going to look better in statue form. I mean the action poses that dolls cant replicate can easily be done in statue form.

I think you're right...As good as Babydoll looks as a 1/6 figure, the statues of her by Gentle Giant and SS really look stunning :lecture
