Plastic Enemies just posted this side by side on Facebook

Woah, that actually gives a lot of info.

However, was this cut and pasted together or were the two actually side-by-side in the same frame?

Also, would be nice if they both were standing with legs straight.

I just looked at other pics of the first generation Mk.I and the helmet is not short (and round-like) as the one in that pic. Weird.

As others have stated, it appears Hot Toys did NOT include the standard black stand that they include with most of their figures.

I'm not using mine from the original release.

If anyone is interested in a trade...

An announcement for a Mark III 2.0 would be awesome about now, with a new Iron Man 1 RDJ sculpt. I've always wanted a figure of him from this scene.

Just caved and bought ...thank Jebus for flex....however I won't have this in hand now till October.
Hot Toys is no friend of my wallet.

Just looks incredible- box is sweet, too!

Yeah BRING ON MK III 2.0!!!!!!!!!!

I still prefer the v1 over this. The original has a more weathered 'aged' look to it, this one looks very shiny fresh out the factory.

But if you don't have Mark 1, its absolutely worth getting.

I wasn't able to get an original so obviously, I have this on order. And am stoked that its coming next month.

Even though the 2.0 is almost identical to the original, I still may try to get an original. If I can find it at a good price.

I don't know about you guys, but i think the Mark I seems to be HT's best Iron Man figure to date in terms of having the right proportions and bulk...and that paint app & weathering simply leaves me speechless!

Edit:
with regards to the figure stand with nameplate and movie logo issue, I think it is appalling that HT has decided to just simply delete that accessory from the product summary page on its official website. Of course, HT is not a doing a good job of covering its tracks since Sideshow's site still shows the stand as one of the accessories in the product specs.

If HT gets away with this, I think it will definitely set a dangerous precedent for future products. Next thing you know, the Mark VII may come without the "promised" Stark head sculpt, and HT will rectify that issue by doing the same thing they're doing with this figure - by deleting the HS from its product specs page.

To be fair it could've been a typo on their part. They always show all the accessories included in the one photo and it wasn't this time.

You know, there is not a single picture of the standard black stand. It's also not shown in the video. Hot Toys simply did not add one with this release. Kind of disappointed about that. I display all my figures with the standard black display. Why is Hot Toys constantly being so stingy? Just gives us the damn thing  ....

Looking great under "natural" light:

Will someone put up a comparison picture with this and the old one, I have the original one but my camera's on the blink.

Thanks guys
