Off colors what are u talking about? U think the old one has better paint apps then this!:cuckoo:

As for the pole u mentioned wtf the old one had the same gun genious:slap
Well no one is forcing you to buy this keep your old inferior one if u wish but honestly other than the correct mandibles, this one looks way better.

Will I have the old one in hand it doesnt look that bad...:lecture If you cant see that off color you need your eyes checked... :exactly: Ill keep my old inferior one and laugh at you though... :rotfl

Whatever dude youre in serious denial if u think the the colors of the old one look better than the new one:dunno

Like i said the only thing that one has over this one is that it has an accurate headsculpt. The old ones head is p2, while the new one is a recycled head painted to be p2. Other than the head the old one has no other superiorities.

cant wait to get this figure. he looks awesome.

cant see anything that is worth all the fuss some collectors are making.

the only thing i can see that makes it look inaccurate is the spear
I was hoping they would resculpt it to be slightly thinner
Or just give you an open or closed version

Thanks for the quality video review, xenom0rph. He's definitely got great in-hand presence. Seeing him next to classic predator (which I love) makes me realize perhaps my expectations were set too high, even for Hot Toys. He's no worse than classic, but he's also no better in terms of quality, paint apps, etc. With Hot Toys constantly raising the bar for themselves (and their prices), I wanted to see their predators advance as well - but it appears that Hot Toys has peaked in terms of what they're capable of (or willing to do) in 1:6 scale. They're just not moving the needle with this figure, especially given how many accessories are recycled from past releases, but it's still a great figure. And it absolutely blows away the 2007 release in nearly every regard.

Predator 2 is hands down my favorite predator, which is why I'm so damn picky about the details and face sculpt. That said, there's no doubt he'd look awesome on the shelf despite all of the inaccuracies.

That's very sad if true.:gah:
I agree, because you know prices aren't going to stop going up. 2013 Scar Predator costs $15 more than 2012 Classic Predator (who included a massive base), but does he raise the bar at all? Based on prototype photos, I'd say he's dead equal with Classic. A great figure, but no better or worse than what they've already achieved.

Scar Predator, 2013, $235

And by the time (hopefully) Wolf is remade, if he does include all of his weapons and extras, the price may be ridiculous. On the other hand the price may be higher even if they don't include many extras.:gah:

Of course. For HT, a price increase doesn't need to be justified by anything other than a passage of time.

Nice review Xeno! =] I'm happy with how the new P2 looks, the only draw back is that darn pole for the cannon, gonna just display it hidden I think, other than that he's gonna look sweet posed beside Classic ^.^

This won't continue in the long run, short term yes but there's going to be a time when they price themselves out of the market. P2 will be available for months and won't sell out. Who knows, poor sales on P2 and Scar may either make them keep their prices down for now or kill the Predator license all together.

That's very true, but I guess what I'm saying is that because Hot Toys was also perfecting their craft along the way - we could usually justify those price increases to ourselves. If the figures stop getting better but prices keep going up, well, that makes it more and more difficult to get excited for a new Hot Toys release.

Oh yeah, absolutely agreed. In fact quality is dropping in some areas - MMS117 T-800 has amazingly real looking skin texture. Fast Forward to DX10 and the skin, the odd sculpted wrinkle aside, is smooth as...well, something without any texture at all.

That's true, too. I think Noland was their last release with the "old" production style; every figure since him has been soft and mushy in terms of headsculpt detailing. They obviously changed their production technique and quality has suffered because of it.

Noland is a fantastic figure. Great in every way. Its just incredibly unfortunate he has came out so late after the movie hype has died out. If he had of been the first figure to come out he would be really sought after by now
