i second this.
purchased the guy for $260.
he will look perfectly with an old head repainted by SilentSurfer
and with proper helmet from tylerdurdem and with proper chest belt from HT guardian & i don't know what else yet.

Yeesh that sounds like a lot work man Well i have never owned a p2 thanks to evilbay but this will do nicely. I have a mcfarlane p2 and even though the gun is inaccurate it never botthered me, so i doubt it will with this figure. I just wish they would they would come up with a nicer way of doing the laser light, having that wire attached to the helms looks weird.

I was really excited about this release and looking forward to it but so far it hasnt really done anything for me

Kitbashing and being put on a display seems like alot of work for a good looking figure to make it look just like a 1980's movie figure.The time spent would be better to learn how to sculpt IMO.
To alter a figure has back fired for many people, i see the work started and then nothing due to unspoken difficulties.

Yes, it is still damn good looking and yes he does still look damn awesome. I'm still debating this purchase; I can't decide if I can be happy with him despite the recycled head, or if looking at him is just going to piss me off knowing Joseph Tsang couldn't be bothered to even attempt a proper headsculpt for this guy.

What is this amazing open-mouthed head and why was it never released? It can't be a prototype for the battle-damaged original release, because the official prototype photos of that figure never looked anywhere near that good

Im finding the whole P2 first release had a better head talk to be a bit too much. Ive had 2 of them. And the head looked bull****. People who want to make an argument the original head looked better find nicely angled shots to prove their case. I had to sit in front of two of them for years. And even then i got fed up of having to pose them at an angle so their heads wouldnt annoy me and sold them. The mandibles looked better. That is all. It had a horrible face.

Oh I have the original p1. I just don't keep him with the primary collection display anymore, and I removed his trophies and armor like most and put it on classic Nothing will stop me from getting this figure... NOTHING!!! I'm just trying to resist buying him early b/c I know he will sell for cheaper than retail down the road, and all I have to do is be patient. It's not that I don't have the money. It's the principle.
