How's everyone's recent experience with toys2. Haven't ordered there In a long time. Seems like they get before bbts ect?

Dang, I wasn't going to get this, but I like it better than First Avenger.

Good thing it is on back order, maybe that will give me some time to save up for it...

NOOOOOOO!! Don't do it!!! The Rescue Version is so fraggin' great!!!

I dunno, this version is SWEEET and I LOVE the battle damaged shield.

Funny thing is, I was just sorta "meh" on the Rescue Cap. Now that I have him, he is awesome. But my Wife bought him for me because we live in San Diego and we go to Comic Con every year, and this was a "2012 SDCC Exclusive".

Or not....He's not so "exclusive" IMO when anyone on the planet can buy him online, and still to this day can buy him online easily. If he had only been available at SDCC and a limited quantity....I'd be more attached.

Don't get me wrong, he's a VERY nice figure.....but I like the Avengers one a lot more, and I've been telling my Wife that I wasn't interested. So logically the only way to justify buying him is to dump the Rescue Cap.

That IS logical......right? :cuckoo:

I just received my Rescue Cap in the mail this week and he looks so damn good! It was a bit of a chore getting him all put together, but man, once he is together he is one impressive figure! I personally think that it looks like they just shrunk Chris Evans down to 1/6 scale :lol

I guess I've just got a soft spot for anything WWII Cap too. :blissy

Lol.
I don't have a Captain America figure.
If i were to get one, it would likely be the rescue version.
I just think it's the coolest costume. The Avengers one didn't do anything for me, and he only wore it a couple of times. The rest of the time it was just variations of the full costume. Or a blue long sleeve t shirt...
:)

Actually that's incorrect. The REAL costume featured the hood and cowl as two separate pieces, but the movie *pretended* that he could just pull back the cowl and turn it into a hood (to match the comics) which of course would have been impossible in real life given the material of the cowl.

Actually, I believe the person you quoted had it right. The hood is definitely supposed to go under the helmet. You can figure that out if you watch the scene when he's gearing up to jump out of the quinjet. When Black Widow is telling him that he "should sit this one out." you can see Cap securing the helmet on his head. I took that to mean that the hood is meant to sit underneath the helmet like a lining. With the mostly realistic details that Marvel Studios puts into their films, they're not going to have a piece of material just magically change density like that.

You see him adjusting his cowl but they don't show him adding it as a separate piece. As others have mentioned there are scenes where his "hood" features the A and wingtips. It's just one of those things that they thought was cool and went with even though it defies physics kind of like Legolas' never ending quiver of arrows in the LOTR films. Funnily enough the Avengers did NOT give Hawkeye the same luxury when it came to his arrows. ;)

Other superhero movies have done similar things, like whenever Spider-Man (Maguire and Garfield) puts on his mask they always cut the scene after it goes over his head to a shot of it all tight and perfectly seamless on his neck or Michael Keaton removing his cowl in Batman Returns and magically having no makeup around his eyes.

i am ready for you, kapitan amerikano!

Just got the e-mail that my final flex will be charged on the 5th of December. Can't wait to get this.

Was this the original date of your final flex payment, or did Sideshow move it up from later in December? I only ask because I'm hoping mine will either get bumped up or I'll get an early pay-off notice.

Original schedule. I was expecting it to get pushed a few days. Hopefully it ships around the same time as charged.
