Finally got the funds from eBay and ordered this guy. Made a boo-boo and mistakingly ordered him twice from BBTS, but I told them instead of refunding the second amount just apply it to the preorder for DX12 Batman.

Your guy's photos are awesome. Keep 'em coming.

BBTS charged me three times. Odd. Guess they're not in the office today as my e-Mails have not been returned.

Oh well... bring on Cap!

Been following this forum for the better part of a year. Finally decided to get Avengers Capt. as my first Hot Toy...

After reading and watching many reviews and soaking in all the awesome pictures, I was slightly disappointed in 2 areas.

Box arrived in good condition from a local seller, got it for $200 misb. Opened it a few hours ago. First thing I noticed is that the star isn't centered. (any idea how it is attached? Could I peel it off and re-glue it?) and secondly, the hood is impossible to put on.

I have experience building lots of models. I have the patience and dexterity to deal with tiny stuff like these. But the holes around the collar are not holes. They are filled with thread, and as a result I cannot put a single one in no matter how I tried.

I love the figure. I think the star might be fixable. But the hood is the biggest disappointment. Now my Capt. is standing there and I refuse to use the unmasked head without the hood attached.

Might consider sewing it on, but not sure if I should just sell it off. Sighs. Also waiting for my DX12 Batman to arrive in a fortnight...

I had to bite on this with Sideshow's $15 off (NEWYEAR13) and free shipping offer. Now I need an extra outfit as well.

Mine came in yesterday. Having a hard time deciding if this one beats the new Batman DX as figure of the year for me. I hate that it makes the TFA version look like it was made years ago :lol

I think the Clipperking made a good point that standing this guy next the TFA CA is not idal as this suit really diminishes the coolness of the original suit.

It also addresses the non-centred star issue too. Rick's language gets a bit...let's say frisky at times, so it's not suitable for work or if you have young kiddie winkles round and about.

He describes in detail how he had to correct his.

Yeah that Clipperking video just makes the TFA cap look so bad. Unlike him though, I'll be keeping mine as I'm a huge cap fan and the suit is definitely different enough. Stuck on the unmasked head and gave him the BD shield to spruce him up a little :lol

Very glad my star came centered as normally I've got the worst ****ing luck with Hot Toys QC issues.

Is it me or does Caps "stripes" (red and white mid section) seem a little too long on the figure compared to those on screen? Can the pants or belt be pulled up to make this area look more screen accurate?

The belt needs to come up a bit and the pants pulled down at the waist and it will match the screen grab.

Nice pics, won't be too long before Widow will be in the picture.:yess:

The belt being lower than the source material isn't a deal breaker for me. Once my DX12 comes in stock at BBTS I get to ship these out with the rest of my loot (which is only a Eaglemoss Bane figurine ordered in May haha).

It's going to be a terrific day.

I'm ok with the midsection. What gets me most about this figure is the arch in his back and the shoulders. You can see it plain as day in the pic above. It's unnatural and looks like he has a stick shoved up his ***. Haven't come up with a way to fix that but I haven't really dug into it yet either...maybe it's just the grundle grabber is too tight?

I just wish he wasn't so tall.

I want to add that he doesn't make FA cap outdated...but the consistency is lost because of his effin height. I can make FA cap a little taller, but won't his pants end up being short?

Anyhow, I like it, but I can't give him full marks based on stiffness and height.

Is this Cap's body about the same size as CR Superman? I want to bash a Steve Roger and I already have an extra Sups body. I want to make sure they match well enough or do I need to buy a extra Cap body. Thanks!
