Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

If they have gone rubber i may reconsider this, i dont want to spend lots on a figure that could dry out and crack down the line. I fear the whole torso section may be rubber too. I would much prefer a hard plastic figure with limited articulation than a rubber body with articulation you fear to use cause the rubber might crack. It's still early tho, i hope some answers come soon cause atm i :dunno

I would say the torso is rubber too if HT wants to pull off the ab crunch/hunch over look from the movie. Its just not demonstrated here.

I understand the fear of the rubber deteriorating over time and I know some people have had problems in the past, but personally I havent yet and its a risk I will take to have this bad boy in my collection. Personally can NOT wait for this one.

"SOLID. PLASTIC. ARMS."

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Thing is, if they would have gone rubber wouldn't they have at least shown the arms bent somewhere?

Not necessarily. HT does some whcky things.

I'm leaning towards including sculpted and articulated arms.

Im fine with either way, personally. But I do want more articulation than not enough. If I wanted a static Hulk, Id get the SS Maquette. I want this guy to be posed in MANY different poses.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Keep coming back to look at pictures and keep leaving underwhelmed.

Never thought I would feel "meh" about a HT Hulk. Hulk was the only Avengers figure I was looking to pick up, but now it feels more pass worthy than must have.

Hmmmm....:tap

The more I see new pics, the more I like it.

I think it will have an upper body similar to this with hidden wrist joints as well.

his pants still buttoned boggles my mind... anyone care to explain?
i mean if my waist is 30" and i wear 28" jeans, i probably have to unbuttoned it so i can breath easily..

in hulk case, his waist probably goes from 32" to like 40" or 50"? but the pants still buttoned, what is up with that? can anyone explain to me? thanks

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Looks like it might be a typical HT wrist with the hand covering the forearm like a glove.

His pants are unbuttoned, just not open much.

should be shredded on the side waist as well at least..... it even looks buttoned from far away.. / can be buttoned

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

maybe he was wearing a belt and it exploded when he turned into the Hulk XD

i think a stretching type of jeans/pants is more logical explanation..
but i dont think pants/jeans can stretch up to 10-20" unless its custom made.. :)

His pants look unbuttoned to me and I'm pretty sure Banner could wear pants thats are too big for his waist and wears a belt so they don't fall down. Also comic magic/movie could explain it.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

VF: If it weren’t for the Comics Code, would the Hulk’s pants have ripped off like his shirt?

Stan Lee: I guess it probably would have. So occasionally the Code did some good things.

VF: Did you ever try to make sense of the Hulk’s magical purple pants? Why did they always conveniently remain intact while the rest of his clothes were ripped to shreds?

Stan Lee: I just figured that Bruce Banner had probably been a friend of Reed Richards [Mr. Fantastic from the Fantastic Four], and Reed had given him some elastic trousers. There’s an explanation for everything, but you may not be technically advanced enough to follow me on all of this.

So you're questioning why his pants don't tear...

...but you're completely fine with a man who grows into a giant, green gorilla?
