Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

:peace Looks amazing. Just wondering the scale of him. He looks way too big to me, but I can't tell if it's because of his placement in the photos or simply because he's not hunched over like he is in the movie. I'd like to see him right next to Thor...
Right. I think so far, all the pictures of Hulk and another figure in the same shot have him standing straight up.

There's still a possibility of HT including another pair of arms.

Will wait and see.

They did a much better job with the wrist joint than they did with the ankle.

As it is now, the joint makes it look like he is wearing shoes.
Like these super lame things I've seen at some stores:

I hope HT could close that ankle gap a little more and make the foot and lower leg more flush where they meet.
Look at the wrist joint. They did a fantastic job there.

You haven't really trained until you've tried these. Trust me on this.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

love that the top of the hair is a separate piece and is glued on onto hulks head, that's why the front of it over hangs his forehead. Little things like that are why HT are the best imo.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Yep. Wrist seem to be similar to the RM-X. Starting to look like the arms are rubber. Ankles look great. They need that space to achieve good poses.

I seriously doubt the arms will be rubber. First you don't get that clean of sculpting and paint detail on the rubber bodies and second with an arm that thick it would do nothing.

I have the T-Rex figure which has one of, if not the thickest muscle bodies produced by HT. You can barely get the arm to bend to 60 degrees at the elbow. And even then it's such a thick limb you can barely tell it moved.

I think HT is smart enough to abandon the rubber bodies... at least I hope they are because it would be an awful idea on this figure.

Well, considering that Hulk is probably around 16-18" tall, I think they could get more detail out of rubber than on a 12" figure. Just a thought. Who knows what the case is, or what the end product we'll be. Things can change a lot between now and next year.

Makes sense, but maybe the rubber is just as thin or just slightly thicker than what they have been using and since the arms are thicker, they could have bigger joints underneath, able to hold poses regardless of the rubber.

But again, all these are just speculations at this point. What makes me think they are rubber is that even though Hot Toys is trying to make this figure look good by hiding joints, I doubt they would sacrfice a very important joint like the elbow joint and swapable arms seem unusual.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I kind of hope his arms are not rubber, Wolverine had a rubber torso and neck with paint appt on in. There were issue of the paint whiskers rubbing off and as detailed as Hulk's arms are I'm afraid of the paint coming off as well. I don't have the HT Avatar Jake figure but what they did to him seemed to work, even though his joints are showing.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

No, the arms looks solid! It's for the best. I'd imagine rubber would be coming off on both sides of the arm, on top of the elbow creasing. Could this thing be completely rubber free?
