Damn. I'm checking this thread so many times a day I should be paying rent!

Just wanna order Hulk!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Pers would not really make a difference with the current sculpt. The hair doesnt bother me but I agree it would look better if it was lowered.

Hope that what they have shown so far is just an unfinished proto without the albow joints.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I have seen that theory floated around, and I have to say, it's certainly not out of the question. I think it's a interesting idea.

He even has the correct face type too. If you imagine that what essentially is his hair line now would be green, and his face area would be red, It's not too difficult to imagine it really.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I think that...
Agent P. Culson will be back for Avengers II or III - probably III - as 'The Vision' anyway.

They have already taken one liberty with secret identities (Thor/Don Blake) so why not another?

Since when? Thor hasn't been Dr. Donald Blake for years. Thor has no secret identity, he is just Thor Odinson. I think they got rid of the Blake alter ego during Walt Simonson's run in the 80's. It turned out he was Thor all along and Odin made him think he was the human Blake as a form of punishment. Kind of like in the movie.

HA! I am going old-school mate, back in the days when they all had them! I am not mad-keen on all this ret-con'ing that just seems to happen when writers want to do something that will just flat-out contradict what had come before.

It seems like a cheap and easy fix for writers.

Are we talking Journey Into Mystery? Some of the best colaborations between Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. I loved Tales of Asgard in the back of the comic. They were some of the best fantasy comics I've ever read. I really think his work on Thor is were Kirby got his inspiration to make the New Gods. Could you imagine Thor battling Darkseid?

I never saw it as a ret-con; I took it as Thor awakening from his Earthly imprisonment as Dr. Donald Blake. Thor and Blake are the same person, however Odin is punishing Thor, like in the film, he has trapped the phsyically powerful Thor, maybe the strongest of all Asgardians, in a infirm and frail body being that of Donald Blake. Blake, having a strong will and spirit but a weak body, becomes a doctor to help those suffering from physical pain. Once Blake learns that real power is not measured by physical strength Thor has learned his lesson and Odin rewards him by allowing Blake to find a walking stick that once struck against the ground transforms Blake into the Mighty Thor. This period in his life serves as the transition back from human to Asgardian. Blake finds that not only does he posses the power of Thor, he is Thor and has been all along.

I am a big fan of the Monkey King Sun Wu Kong, or Son Goku and I always viewed his story of being cast out of Heaven and imprisoned on Earth until he learned humility in the Journey to the West as a nice parallel to Marvel's version of Thor, the God of Thunder. Thor, like Monkey, is a multifaceted and deeply layered character despite his great power and royal birth. But that's just how I see things.

If that's the final completed prototype then that's dissapointing. I had hoped that what we saw at Ani-Com was a work in progress, but apparently not. Also, what's interesting to me is that if those arms are rubber, why are they never bent? Plastic Enemies left them in the exact same pose as Ani-Com.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Tought they just said that it as STILL a work in progress and joints were still being added?
